thank you. i have 2.1 and that error is being flagged well.... I'd say 3 or 4 times every second. I just now saw what mods you specifically state are incompatible. so it's my own fault now. does the Planetary Diversity patch still work with 2.1?
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2018 kl. 1:36
It's also a bug introduced by 2.1 of the game, which suggests you're using AlphaMod 2.0 with 2.1 of the game. AlphaMod has been re-released for 2.1 - use that.
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2018 kl. 1:34
No, it's a vanilla bug, and also harmless. Not everything piped out to error.log matters.

is this caused by a mod conflict?

AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2018 kl. 3:18
teCsor 23. maj 2018 kl. 8:42
You can just set the game back to 2.0 to play the mos without the new updates @HACK-Ata-48

2.1 UPDATE ETA
2.1 has changed a lot and has broken quite a bit in AlphaMod. ETA for an update is Friday evening GMT. It will be a re-release and this version is now frozen and no longer supported.

If you have already updated to 2.1 a - Play some vanilla. b - You're an idiot. Okay just kidding, I'm eager too. Actual new content, yay!
SerHak72 23. maj 2018 kl. 1:13
So basically I wait for you to update to 2.1 and I can play again?

Okay will wait for a day or 2 till you update
teCsor 22. maj 2018 kl. 15:40
that will be the problem for sure so do i play the 2.0.5 or .0 version
Thank you for your fast response
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 15:36
Have you updated to the latest version of the game? 2.1, which was released today. The mod's not been updated for it yet.
teCsor 22. maj 2018 kl. 15:34
im new to stellaris and i love this mod, thank you in advance.
However with this mod installed i am not able to build starbases in Class M red Giant Nebula systems ... is this a bug or am i doing things wrong`?
Cirdain 22. maj 2018 kl. 14:20
Wait. Ash is actually happy with a DLC?

... What foul heresy is this?

"Ooooooh boy, more drama happened because of stupid while I was away, I bet Alpha had another rant."

... ... ...

Awww
::Maethendias:: 22. maj 2018 kl. 12:36
wait, what got ripped?
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 12:35
Rant level 3/10. I'm busy with updates.
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 12:34
I have no issue with the DLC. It's new content. Admittedly some of it is built on the ripping out of a feature that didn't need ripping out. Also not too bothered with the patch, since it doesn't just rip out and re-work features ready for yet another re-work to sell a DLC.
Nyarlathotep 22. maj 2018 kl. 12:32
Eagerly awaiting the rant about Distant Stars. :D
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 12:09
@Maeth It's integrated, yes.
-=[EB]=- Paladin187 22. maj 2018 kl. 11:44
Thanks for keeping AlphaMod updated so quickly! idk how ill ever go back to vanilla...
::Maethendias:: 22. maj 2018 kl. 11:18
the whole exo planet thing is integrated, right? not a seperate mod anymore?
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 11:11
It does, yep.
::Maethendias:: 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:57
that explains the issue with the tomb world start on machine empires being able to build those
Skurkanas 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:52
Lol, you're probably right about that. Thanks for the quick answer!
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:43
@Skurkanus AlphaMod only touches war exhaustion in that the armies in the mod now cause war exhaustion when killed, same as vanilla armies. War exhaustion is not a feature I want to work on because it's rubbish and no amout of modding can improve that crap. Sorry.
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:41
Read the change notes. Most exo buildings got a tier 0, with no tech requirement. The Think Tank/Science Nexus is unlocked by Technological Supremacy or whatever the perk is called, with The Utopian Dream, and is WAD.
::Maethendias:: 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:31
i have 2 issues:

back to the "xeno op planets"... somehow i always get the options for the xeno buildings even without researching the necessary technologies

and (wondered that for a while now)... is it a bug that we are able to build the nexus from the beginning on... even without any megastruc perk? (also, the specialized habitats)
Skurkanas 22. maj 2018 kl. 10:02
Tempted to get back into Stellaris after some major gripes with 2.0, glad to see this mod is still around.

Does it change anything about the WE-mechanic, or will my fanatical purifiers still get tired of purification after a few years? If so can you (or any of the other good folks in the comments) suggest an alpha mod compatible fix?
Toomadtoplay 22. maj 2018 kl. 8:53
thank you for taking the time to update us and update your mods

2.1 just got released. I'm busy with that.
Musashi 22. maj 2018 kl. 6:44
I have a compatibility problem All costs for empire wide edicts are null. Can you tell me eventually in which file or how the empire wide edicts costs are managed so i can find the other mod that give me problem with alphamod? Running a txt search on the contents of the archieved mods... Thx in advance....
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2018 kl. 1:15
Read RE: Compatibility in the blurb.
KricKracSac 21. maj 2018 kl. 15:54
is planet development overhaul compatible?
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2018 kl. 15:52
Because planet-killer functionality comes from soft-coded events in Apocalypse, and like many events, has no catering for anything other than vanilla planet classes.
::Maethendias:: 20. maj 2018 kl. 12:34
i dont know where the issue is coming from,,, but all "exo planets " (habitable barrens/molten/frozn etc etc etc)... are unkillable/untargetable by planetcrackers
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2018 kl. 11:52
Yes.
Shadows-Forgotten 20. maj 2018 kl. 11:34
Hey Alpha have you seen the prototype system which might be replacing the tile system that wiz unveiled at PDXCON
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2018 kl. 9:51
Eliminate one mod at a time until you can no longer produce the issue. However, the AI regularly gives up developing starbases in vanilla.
Citizen Joe 20. maj 2018 kl. 9:45
Pretty sure it must be, they build things "properly" with only alphamod active.
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2018 kl. 3:51
NEW UPDATE POLICY
Other than critical bugfixing with hotfixes that should not break save-games, I will aim to make the bigger updates that may well break current save-games on a Friday. Not necessarily every Friday, but I tend to want to get new stuff in your hands pretty rapidly, so it'll be most Fridays.
AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2018 kl. 1:44
@Citizen Joe It's called Vanilla.
@Riince No.
Trixie 19. maj 2018 kl. 22:38
does this have shanty town in it?
Citizen Joe 19. maj 2018 kl. 20:20
Which of the mods in the suggested collection might be making the AI not build starbase modules/buildings?
Cirdain 19. maj 2018 kl. 6:59
Nope, not achiewement compatible. It’s not achievement compatible either
Wendigon02 19. maj 2018 kl. 4:46
i guess it would be a bit idiotic for me to ask if its acheiwement compatible

AlphaAsh  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2018 kl. 14:00
It is. It's just 0G sounds better than 0.1G.
nanO.bytez 18. maj 2018 kl. 13:09
I noticed something mildly irritating regarding follow-up surveys of barren planets. Some of them turn out to allegedly have no gravity, as in the 0G planet modifier. Now, I'm no physicist but even I know that even asteroids have micro-gravity. Technically, if you put a single dust particle into deep space that particle will still have gravity and attract other dust particles... to make a baby sun eventually. Just like the bees! Granted though I also use Planetary Diversity and various other mods that tinker with barren planets and asteroids to make them colonizable so there might be some weirdness going on with those. It's not gamebreaking, just one of those things that make me go "Naaaw! The cake is a lie!". In the case I'm barking up the wrong tree here just disregard me entirely like you would that crazy person you always see peeing into your neighbor's flower pots. I'm mangling so many mods I'm not even entirely sure whether or not that 0G modifier is part of AlphaMod at all.

@AlphaAsh I think YOU are the Wiki
