okay everyone, the mod WORKS.
1, start brand new game (mod does not affect saved games/configurations)
2. Mod is a little weird with dramatic ages. recommenced leaving it off tbh.
3. play huge Terra map, max players, max city states. i promise it turns into a all out war instead of cities flipping back and forth. honestly had to restart because i wasnt used to going full military instead of high population xD:steamthumbsup:

For anyone having issues like I was, you have to disable dramatic ages or you will still lose cities when entering a dark age

Worked fine for me. I took the advice below and created a game from scratch, worked just as expected. This mod makes all the difference if you are going for a domination victory. No longer do you have to babysit conquered capitals constantly only to keep losing them to rebels and use up all your resources on them. QOL mod for sure.

I got it to work. Make sure you don't load a game settings profile/preset when you create a new game, you have to set up your game from scratch. If you load game settings it will load the settings without your new mods.

Major Bug, Ramses II bonus breaks this completely, founding a city (and making a "loyalty building") gives you a gazillion culture, like modern era in ancient era level.

@DestrockQc - Customization VI only changes the citizen loyalty pressure, it doesn't affect other items that increase or reduce loyalty. Even with the slider set to zero, if you enter a golden or dark age, or have other items exerting or losing loyalty pressure, you will still lose cities. Unfortunately, Customization VI does not work well for disabling loyalty ... have tried it MANY times in multiplayer, and it's a no-go.

Hello totalslacker, do you know if you can put a delay on the loyalty presure or add a modifer that add like +100 loyaltie for 5 turns after you capture a city.

Was trying to make the mod myself, but i am terrible, help :D

Update Version 2.1
-Changed loyalty modifier to attach to all major players via LeaderTraits
-Added text tags to make the trait visible when loading a game

Previously I was attaching the always loyal modifier to the Palace building so it would affect all players. I think the bigger issue is that I was including requirements involving the palace to the effect, even though the effect was supposed to be global.

Now the modifier is attached to all major players by default. This should be simpler, but the downside is it no longer affects city-states. I might be able to make it attach to minor players too, as an optional feature.

There are now text tags so you'll know when the mod is enabled when you're loading a game. I included screenshots to show it working. I forward settled Arabia and my second city, with -20 loyalty pressure on the plot, is still at 100% loyalty 5 turns later.
