The issue is fixed now, it was an issue with how no pickup cap manages the coin count outside of shops, it should work properly now though, thanks to that mod's author.

Just saw this message. Not sure why there would be a conflict, Indulgence Penny is set to only work in Devil Rooms and Black Markets. Maybe under the hood the other mod is making one of those rooms and skinning it like a shop?

I've talked to the author of No Pickup Cap, he's created a workaround so mods like Indulgence Penny and Happy Pack's Shop Chest can work properly outside of shop rooms.

Found the culprit: No Pickup Cap. I'm assuming it is messing with the pickup counter in a way that makes shops set up in your mod and in the shop chests pull incorrect numbers for buying. Not surprising considering how experimental the No Cap mods are.

Hey man, I'm having issues with the mod not functioning properly. The items properly change from hearts/coins like they should, but the items themselves cannot be bought or picked up. I'm having the same problem with another mod that adds a Shop Chest (of which the name I don't remember). It does not seem to be a conflict between either mod, disabling one or the other does nothing.

It honestly might just be an issue with the sheer amount of mods I've gathered for the game, but if you'd like to look into it anyways, that would be most helpful.

you could drop it to get the pennys then pick it back up for the deals

I have tweaked the trinket to give a permanent luck down every time you pickup the trinket. Let me know what you think.

A great way to balance this item is to make shops cost red hearts. Only the items themselves though, not consumables. And there is no way to balance this if you make it a trinket. It has to be a passive item so there is actually a pro and con to pick it up. Right now there isnt a downside. There just isn't.

Thank you for the advice. I agree Indulgence Penny still feels unbalanced (then again Cancer and Curved Horn are OP as well...). I don't want to change IP into an item as I like the fact that Isaac can pickup\drop the trinket and change the price of heart deals allowing for more player strategy.

So far: IP doesn't give you DwTD precedence and the -1 Luck means you are constantly dropping\picking up the trinket. I think those are valid negatives. Dropping it once more floor and backtracking for it is still a negative IMHO.

I will try to think of other ways to balance the trinket.

The luck down is kind of useless. Just means smart players will drop the trinket until the boss fight, and then take it to trhe devil deal and then drop it until leaving the floor.

No it does not give DwTD precedence. The player does have the option to pick up\drop the trinket repeatedly in the Devil room which will allow the player to spend hearts.

Let me ask: Does buying a Deal With The Devil via the Indugence Penny prevent Angel Deals for the run?

great mod, but imo the sprite should be changed, it's kinda like swallowed and bloody penny had a child

I suggest that price should be a little higher for 2 hearts deals. Like 10 and 25 for 1 and 2 hearts could be good for me

you know I was just thinking how nice itd be to be able to take a devil deal as the keeper without sacrificing my health....this wilkl definitley make the keeper more fun
