I've added Amsterdam to the map. (The Dutch in the DELUXE version of this scenario -> https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2355194520) . Polders can now be built on floodplains and marsh as well as on the coast. It's really fun :steamhappy:

@danradz The scenario was developed prior to NFP. But it wasn't balanced. NFP fixed this by introducing civs (for this map) and most importantly the Preserve district.

Without these key NFP DLC only a few of the original civs are really playable.

If you like to play the New World map it is included in the United Nations Map Pack (see link above).

BTW the map does change. It is randomised (internally). So although the coast is the same everything else - rivers, mountains, hills, features, resources, wonders, etc. - all change.

@"god of being bad at everything" I've added Preserves to this scenario. Now all the civs are balanced cos the Eco victory is build 20 Sanctuaries. (I have to play test this to see if it's feasible in 175 turns)

@uwu Yes, the Europeans are at a disadvantage. That's why I initially had Archaeology scoring, for England.

But I'm also thinking of buffing Spanish Conquistador allowing it to settle cities. Like in Civ V. What do you think?

I tried again. When you have got strong starting pos, you can win europeans too in deity.

@PastObito That's cos so few city states in Civ VI are on the map. Try also using the two mod city state packs linked above.

@Caligula the map data is from the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection of Earth from the N. pole. (The map on the UN flag).

Ahh I understand. If victory conditions can be adjusted, I still think it's worth leaving in, just maybe you have to own all the cities of each civilisation? I can see your point though, those are cool.

@Ghiaman1334 TBH domination is v.easy with 6 players all of whom have coastal or near coastal starts, even on a map of this size.

Also I wanted to highlight two political themes:
1. (U.S) National Monuments. How Trump very recently shrank US monuments (National Parks) Obama had expanded.
2. Re: Poundmaker and indigenous values (so alternative victory conditions) given how they can be still sensitive to issues re: Manifest Destiny and conquest.

Domination would still work - in fact I think it's one of the more realistic ones, given the domination of New Spain over the Americas and America's Manifest Destiny.

Even though I'm careful to remove Domination & Religious victory in favour of Environmental and Monuments victory, it's not for me to judge :steammocking:

I thought the map was made using the worldbuilder thats why i mentioned it, i have not had a problem with this mod so far and i do have the packs
