Great safe house when playing with Serena, but no safe storage as when I come back to the house I lose all items? Is this normal?

No, it has nothing to do with a key. You can move your spouse into any home using a mod.

After adding the mod, you will see it as either a power or a shout (I forget which) called 'Bless Home'.

only thing is that i cant move my wife into the house. if thats possible how, i know its something to do with a key but ive searched the house and have no key

ian_lovelette. It is fully compatible with Hearthfire, meaning that it does not conflict - but what you want is something that's configured to function as a family home within the Hearthfire engine. And this one is not, no. It takes some extra work to make a house HF-functional, which would then make it no longer compatible with the non-HF basegame.
I've created one home that can house 4 children (Deerpath) and it's not a bad one, but I'm working on others that are more ambitious.
You can also look for the Bless Home mod, which will let you move a spouse into any home at all.

Jacksondwyer - there's a map showing where it is, it's near Dragon bridge. This is for regular ordinary Skyrim, no expacks or anything needed.

I have been thru serveal playthrus by now and I have fun adding new mods this has to be one of the best houses i have ever seen I enjoy the places for herbs and soul jems I have never seen that before I think this will be my base from now on

I love this home setup it's got everything needed for R.P. comfort and a lived in look.
Unfortunately I think it conflicts with one of my mods that spawn dragons in that area. When first arriving at the house there are two dead dragons draped over the property and exiting the house, thru any door, causes a screen lockup/crash. Oh well, I'll favorite it for my next playthru. Thank you Gearsmoke for sharing your work. I'll look forward to lounging by the steam pool.

This house was made by genius. Location, the view, items, everything is just perfect, I love it. I don't do mods, but this house is just what I have been dreaming about. It keeps the feeling of vanilla game. And that romantic pool with candles and table for two. Waw, just waw!! I want to thank you for such great mod :)

Downloaded it yesterday.
I've tried, it fits my needs perfectly. It has everything an adventurer needs. And no need to become Thane, no need to buy it for thousands of Septims! Lovely.

Navmeshed means that NPC characters (Like followers) can actually follow you in. Without that, the character will either fall through the scenery or stand idle.


I like this place. Roomy, though not overly large. Perfect!
