I just noticed these ships. Very detailed with a great design. Excellent work as usual.

@oojimaflip Glad you were able to check out Hydra! I would be curious to hear your thoughts after going through it some.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nice looking build, going to have to investigate your implementation of block mixing further.

ok I see it now, I had not thought of the detail a sv block can add. I Have used untility blocks, What I call them. a SV stacked with Storage ot crafters with enough thrust to move them from place to place and docable inside the pace a CV block takes up. And my calculator tells me 64 sv combat steel blocks at 200 each will yeild 12,800 hit points. I did spawn the ships in creative mode and managed to get them almost together, stoped at about half a block to go. then I could see what was happening. I am amazed at the work you have done here.

@ grimscal other than having more details in the hull, you will also have smaller storage devices like fridges and containers that will (in the case of a container) will hold the same amount of stuff as the larger version but take up 1/32 the space so theoretically you could have 32x the storage in the same amount of space. Another reason for having a modular cv like this is the sv portion of it will absorb the initial damage from incoming fire allowing you to bug out before the actively controlled CV is disabled. Then youre just stuck there and probably dead anyway.

@Grimscal Also this person has made a more practical use for this type of meshing with the two types of ships. This Monorail is a prime example its more practical uses.

@Grimscal More details in a CV is the quick answer. Comparing a SV block to a CV block the SV block is 4 x 4 x 4, which is 64 total blocks that occopy the same space as a CV block does.

The passenger seat is a good example as it is the same for both SV and CV as looks go. On a SV you can place 4 passenger seats right next to each other. On the CV that same passenger seat sits in the middle of the block even though the CV block is the same thickness as the 4 seats from the SV.

So maybe this opens up peoples eyes, or even the Devs, to the possiblity to allow smaller SV style blocks to also work on the larger CV blocks. Either way this was a fun build and I might incorperate this again for some later builds. While not the most practical of ship I am still happy that Hydra-X finally happended

@Kieve Don't worry I have all the faith that what you have in store will be miles above anything I have come up with! I look forward to seeing your creation! Thanks for stopping by!

Look very nice, but I dont get what your trying to echieve here. you have a sv doced to a cv?
What does this get you?

Hehe, and Jenn completes the first Synthesis ship before I do. Go figure ;D

Subbed and voted 👍 - will check it out right away. I'm eager to see how she comes together.
