I should clarify to people that the lighting for this mod is the current lighting within the game. The mod is old and CA in 2018 had changed the lighting and contrast to all of the campaigns be like Empire Divided.

Its still a huge difference the water looks much better zith this mod. I have everything on extreme and was dissipointed in the water in the campaign. Now with this mod it looks much better. 10/10 does what it says.

Thanks, yeah I agree. The new vanilla lighting is not too bad now. I actually add a little sharpening/clarity with ReShade and I'm good to go. :)

Yes. However, the ancestral update introduced a new campaign lighting. The contrast between the vanilla version and the mod version is less noticeable.

No. As ling as I know, it only affects campaign lighting.

As Astrocat stated, if you place this mod above @@celt_mod_campaign_map in your userscript it will only overwrite the lighting effects.

Just load this one before @@celt_mod_campaign_map, then you get the Empire Divided lighting instead of the Atilla lighting but you still get all the higher res textures as well. It's working very well. :)

I tested the mod with "Rome II HD Project: Attila Environments 1.2" and they are compatible. I didn't test the mod with "Rome II HD Beta 0.95.5" but most likely they are compatible because that mod only changes textures, not lighting.

Is it compatible with Rome II HD Beta and the other HD mods? Haven't read anywhere that they change the lighting.

wow are you serious? that crappy yellow hue Rome 2 got has been my biggest annoyance , even with ReShade and various filters you can never get rid of it, and I did notice the Empire Divided looked a lot better... great mod, lets all give it stars people, deserves it
