I gain no exp from examining corpse

Hi guys could it be that there is something wrong atm? i use it on my dedicated server i can make the journal and examine the z without problem but at level 2 iam not getting eny experience for it? eny ideas i tought if it would conflict with another mod then the mod would just not work or show up properly? eny help is apreciated and srr for my fractured english

It takes ingame hours and gives little experience. Even with books nothing really progresses.

You can now use many more tools, there's no requirement that the journal or tool be in your main inventory, and instead of dirty rags you earn Antiserum vials (from https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2127326898)

mod works for me, except the last two levels - no exp there, seems intentional tho cause OP med journal

As of writing this, I have found that you must have the medical journal and either a kitchen knife or hunting knife (no other knife will work, I've found) in you main inventory when you examine the corpse to gain exp. If the knife or journal are in one of your bags (like your backpack), then you'll perform the action but gain no exp. This will likely be resolved in the next update, but until then, try to keep this in mind if you're not getting any exp.

I'm having an issue where I'm not getting first aid gains upon completing an examination. Not sure what the problem would be. Pretty sure I was getting them for levels 1/2 but not at all for 3/4. Used experience books on both.

Came back after a save and reload after reading some similar problems below and I'm getting gains once again.

Mod was working fine for 41 up until today, something stopped my progress

This appears to be working on BUILD 41.15 IWBUMS but it does throw errors.

Made the journal, examined corpse. No First Aid Gain, not sure if I should read the journal afterwards, at least there is no option to.

Matt, to respond to shawdaowCops thing, I know the issue and the solution. The issue is that it gives you the option to examine the corpse while the stuff for it is in your backpack and it doesn't equip. Also. I wouldn't say cap it. Here is my suggestion. Instead, make it so you can only use it from level 5+, make it so the speed of the interaction increases with medical level. Because frankly, at level 9 I should be able to process it quicker then i was level 4. Also, lower the EXP yes, because it gives you a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of skill points. I got 50 skill points from going through like 15 corpses. Can I add you on steam and keep talkinga bout it?

I agree, I should lower the XP per level and perhaps cap at 5 or 6, hmmm. Ideas welcome! Also, I need to implement what shawdowCop suggested! Thanks all!

As someone who plays the doctor with a group of people, I can say that this mod is amazing. However, It's a little broken. You get a 8x modifer thanks to a book and you are earning 1200-1500 EXP a corpse.And I'm only at level 6. This will stack even more as I get to higher levels. Is there a way to balance this on the server or client?

Hello, I lately had a bug with XP regarding this mod. If I have a knife in my hiking bag and no other knife in my inventory, I was still able to use corpse and they even give me 3 bandages, but I got no xp. Only when I put the knife in the players inventory I got the XP points?
My offer is to modify the code in a way, that you can right click on corpse lying on the ground. If you want to examine them the player would automatically equip the best knife in the left hand and the medical journal in the right hand. So if I write the code and send it to you, would you update your mod?

Nvm my previous comment, deleting it, I was wrong... I just have been making sure to go into whatever room I am goign to work in, equip the pencil and book in my hands and then pick the body up and examine and it works then...

@BloodyAstartes It's been a long time, but you can't get zombified from a windows scratch. You can get infected, in this case you just have to disinfect it and it will pass.
I take time to answer this because that's the kind of "legend" I often read x).

This is an excellent mod that makes senses and doesn't break immersion. Props to you for making a way to increases medical in a sensible way. However, I do propose a level cap since there is only so much you can learn from autopsy. Either way, I'm glad this mod exist in the first place.

Niiiice. Lol just the other day I was looking at my level .00003 First Aid skill and thinking... I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if anything serious happens... I was planning on just jumping through broken windows for a while... but one time I got zombified from a window scratch... so i was gonna use the "spiffo item blessing or curse" Mod... but then mt first try i got cursed and only had 10 bandages on me and bled out in 15 seconds... soooooo.... ya. Now I can just use real life mechanics. I guess i could still try jumping through a plate glass door to get splinters...
