Yo dude could you update your mod please?
sax 31. juli 2023 kl. 17:12
hey, is this mod compatible with Return To Glory (Animations Mod) ?
Macaquinho_14 14. juni 2023 kl. 4:40
People don't seem to have read the description. This mod is precisely to remove dismeberment in order to have other animations. Yeah, no dismemberment, that's precisely the aim of this mod
Scald 7. feb. 2023 kl. 16:58
got an issue myself here, I see the complete opposite, no beheadings or dismemberments, yet my graphics are meeting the gores dismemberment animation quota, so it would be cool if you could make a mod that does the complete opposite of this and just makes every kill a dismemberment, that or I'd like to find a way in the files that controls the percentage/amount of dismemberment animations in a given battle
Rico Muerte 17. sep. 2022 kl. 22:56
yeah no dismemberment
Dr. Faserratte 23. juni 2021 kl. 11:51
Yo my normal game doesnt do did they remove it when they fixed dismemberment
Wild Venusaur 6. jan. 2021 kl. 7:40
yeah no dismemberment
Unter_Null 1. jan. 2021 kl. 6:36
So did CA fixed the gory cinematic animations? or we still need mods?
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2020 kl. 12:09
Yes of course! Just give credit in the mod description is all I ask (goes for all of my mods).
Seosamh Ó Biden 2. dec. 2020 kl. 7:23
Hey, is it cool if I use the files from this mod for my own lightweight battle mod?
Unleashed 19. okt. 2020 kl. 12:53
I guess this mod is outdated, because no decapitation whatsoever.
SNAKEYES07 27. sep. 2020 kl. 0:40
hey i tried your mod but i did not saw any dismembermant
CyDoN 22. aug. 2020 kl. 17:31
I tried your mode and didn't see any dismemberment only some of the animations we were supposed to have since we payed for blood and gore
Moriarty 15. juli 2020 kl. 12:00
it is not supposed to work with DEI, if you play DEI you should know that DEI has its own battle system
DJTB 8. juni 2020 kl. 4:18
it does not work with DeI
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2020 kl. 12:04
@shblovetruth You're right, the title is no longer relevant. I'll change the title just like you suggested. Thanks! I'm glad you like the attila animations as much as I do!
Moriarty 3. juni 2020 kl. 11:15
yep, that is right, this is a good mod not only a "bring back matched combat" it is similar to Attila
shblovetruth 2. juni 2020 kl. 6:49
@Pizza Time , do you know why there are not enough people (at least, not popular ) subcribe to this your great mod ? Because your mod name ! Not all people understand what's "Matched Combat" or the word "Restored", so I suggest a better name: "Combat Animation Variety Restored - an almost official Blood&Gore DLC perfect fix", or, a shorter one: "Animation Variety Restore - a nearly perfect fix for Blood&Gore DLC (which can be seen as an faulty official fix)". Note: You can put the "which can be seen as an faulty official fix" not into the name of mod, but into the description below.
Scotvince 21. jan. 2020 kl. 4:06
So CA brought back all matched combat ?
Moriarty 26. sep. 2019 kl. 8:20
seems good, I had only a few custom battles before I begin a campaign, but fine I think I like it:-)
Keristan 5. sep. 2019 kl. 9:08
Thanks!
austria-HRE 4. sep. 2019 kl. 16:04
attila-ish animations would be cool
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. 2019 kl. 21:03
Not needed anymore, no.
supercid87 29. aug. 2019 kl. 20:11
So it this mod not needed anymore? Has CA actually fixed this?
Germanarmy 9. juni 2019 kl. 15:54
can we see now with this mod finally how people lose her arms and all this?? this motherfuckers from the game we would see it but i dont see anything with the dlc but the money is away -.-
Petro 20. juli 2018 kl. 4:14
Hi, I sent you the friend request, I wanted to thank you for for the idea of using the old animations files to fix the animations privileges bug, I have redone all your work discovering that all the amputations and decapitations animations are bugged, not only the two you reported at CA, the same thing in Attila but in that game also formed kill animation are bugged. Probably CA wanted to make their games like the new ones, without 1 vs 1 combat and only with sporadics decapitations, anyway if you want the credit of the original idea or to become a collaborator for my new mods please text me.
Moloch 19. juli 2018 kl. 2:11
I have notice for some time now that That the Pike Phalanx attack do not have a kill animation? hense no blood in the floor when they stab...I have try to fix it myself but I haven't been successful...Have you notice the same issue @[HCP] Warrior of Light ?
Mansons Acid Trip 9. juli 2018 kl. 15:46
Is this compatible with the Kill Animation Overhaul by Swissbob or would the two conflict?
RÜZGAR 7. juli 2018 kl. 15:54
we'd better see a few photos?
RÜZGAR 7. juli 2018 kl. 15:53
Do you put in-game photos?
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2018 kl. 15:28
UPDATE: After hours of trial and error, I now have blood added back to every animation except the beheading one and the leg chop one. It's the best we have until CA actually fixes it. PLEASE post on the ROme 2 support forums for CA to officially fix this.
Alexander The Greek 22. mar. 2018 kl. 6:45
I wrote a comment in the link you said below.
Alexander The Greek 22. mar. 2018 kl. 6:20
They made a small update before 2 days and they said that fixed the problem but now it is worse than before and at least the most animations work ONLY if you enable blood effects after the battle starts and not before. So, you have to do this annoying thing for every battle.
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2018 kl. 13:28
This version should still work. I tested yesterday, please bump the thread on Total War forums that I linked. CA is making a *new patch soon*, PLEASE comment on it so they fix it. :) cheers.
Alexander The Greek 21. mar. 2018 kl. 13:13
The animations are normal only if I have disabled blood effects and make them enabled after the battle starts but it is annoying every time doing this so, when you can make a version for patch 19.
Alexander The Greek 21. mar. 2018 kl. 11:36
Make a version for patch 19 immediatly please, after the last update yesterday the battles are more broken than the first patch 19 actually.
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2018 kl. 20:54
Unfortunately, it's true...please post on the forums that the issue persists.
markonex 10. mar. 2018 kl. 10:25
Some people told that even with new patch animations are really similar to patch 18 with poor and always the same animations of decap and dismembering.
Shatilov 9. mar. 2018 kl. 17:47
@[HCP] Warrior of Light, I thank you for your efforts, but after the new update, enabling this mod or the Community Patch mod, there are no blood effects on kill animations, disabling this mod or the Community Patch Mod, enables to the blood effects. I just tried it and I confirm it.

I currently use the Community Patch Mod, and disabling it allows for Blood and Gore to be enabled, note that enabling the mod doesnt disable blood in the game, but it removes the blood splatters from the kill animations.

hope that was clear.

in the end, I dont see myself playing rome 2 without ur community mod, so I will wait patiently for a fix.
Shatilov 9. mar. 2018 kl. 17:15
But for some reason, I dont see blood effects.
Alexander The Greek 9. mar. 2018 kl. 17:00
Thanks
Working Joe  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2018 kl. 16:58
Agreed Alexandros
Alexander The Greek 9. mar. 2018 kl. 16:56
Yes, CA fixed animations but sometimes when my units retreat enemy doen't kill then while hunt them. Also, I can see more animations now but the animation with decapitations and dismembements is more often than other animations especially when you kill enemies while they retreat. So, if you can make a balance in all animations and in all unit types but the most bloody like them must be more rare. It is better now than patch 18 but not so much like patch 17.
Shatilov 9. mar. 2018 kl. 15:00
I think they fixed the animations, with the new patch.
markonex 4. feb. 2018 kl. 12:46
Ok, thanks, what a pity CA bugged rome 2 this severely, also iron javelins are invisible now
Catholic Alcoholic 4. feb. 2018 kl. 6:51
Is it possible that only the kill animations, not the actual combat animations are broken?
Do you know why they kept the animations in to seperate packs, some of them double, instead one pack like in attila?
Seeing that data_rome2 has less files and only the meta files, I assume that the animations come from the data.pack and stuff like blood/decapitations from data_rome2.
The animations which don't have an according meta file in data_rome2 would have to use the old meta file in data.pack, which is seems to cause them to not work.
Catholic Alcoholic 4. feb. 2018 kl. 6:51
@[HCP] Warrior of Light I have noticed some things, maybe you can confirm them: It seems that only Sword/Spear animations are broken, for example falx works just like it did in patch 17(Note: even in patch 17 there wasn't a decapitation animation for falx units). I didn't test cavalry or elephants, but I assume that they work as intended.

If you remove all most all animations from data_rome2 except 1 for each category, suddenly the not blood animations from data.pack kick in, and the remaining animations from data_rome2 are still displayed with blood, but occur only very rarely.

Attila animations can't be modded in because Attila uses a seperate sound file.
