I just realized you said "screeches". If I remember correctly this cannot be avoided because the game will randomly change the pitch/temo of sound clips in order to artificially increase the number of sound variations. I will look into it more though.
I will be working on an update to this very soon that includes sounds from his latest videos (Hickups) as well as updated screenshots/videos.
Yeah they are a bit quiet. If I recall correctly, I actually went back and increased the volume of the raw .wav files originally prior to releasing this sound pack, but they were still quiet in-game. I believe the game varies both the pitch and volume of the infected to further create a more "random" infected population. If I were to increase the volume any more on my end, I would suspect it would cause distortion. A possible fix could be turning your game/music volume up.
