the problems in my opinion that make this map be a little bit more memorable is the fact that there's not many interesting landmarks or buildings, going behind buildings to see if i was missing secrets proved to be a waste of time;
i can confirm what some people pointed out in the comments about the difficulty and balancing of this map, it's easy... way too easy even in serious difficulty, there's no balance of enemies and ammo, there's never a need to think about your ammo, enemy placement is a little bit too easy as well, i had kleers literally help me take out kamikazes.
this is a solid map, wouldn't mind playing this if it was part of a bigger pack, but i honestly wouldn't remember it at all afterwards.
Cons:
-crumbs are not really optimized (Extazzy had lag)
- peace music should be better if it was same from Serpent Yards
I tried your SSF map yesterday.
In my opinion:
1) you should make more specific area of this steppe, since this in my opinion is reconnected to Egypt.
2) There is no storyline in this adventure. I think you should be away from dealing with Egypt, and try to represent Africa invaded by Mental. I imagine the prairies full of Scorpions and rhinos. See Sam facing the Savannah. Or create a new planet, and fight sam in a new bioma. I will avoid referrals to the already-released video games.
3) You've created a nice surface, but weapons in my opinion should be more visible.
4) I think then that the player in this map could face a BFE version.
5) Last, it would take a different war / tense music. Maya episodes do not inspire me.
6) This map should be more explorative.
These are my suggestions / tips for this level. Also Good Job.
Thank you once again for helping!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Tad too easy, though. In open areas I barely took any damage.
