I kinda liked your mod and since you asked for help I fixed it.
Problem lied with the uniforms.

I added a portrait_settings.bin too, because I play with 2D portholes and without it doesn't display it.
Tested it only a little. But I recruited a Lord, entered a battle and then withdrew once without mount and once with the mancticore mount equiped ,without problem.
Other than that I added manticore-anim to DE-faction and the manticore to the camp-mounts-table...think without it the manticore may have gotten bamboozled?

As far as I can remember I edited/added these tables:
agent_uniforms_tables
campaign_character_arts_tables
gljtch_dreadlord_grwp_data__
units_custom_battle_permissions_tables
campaign_mounts_tables
culture_to_battle_animation_tables_tables

Uploaded the fixed version, if you want you can upload it to steam and then I can take it down.

Hey! I just stumbled upon this mod and am sad to see it seems to be broken.

I love what you did to the model, with the skin and Armor l.

I've never modded TW and don't know about newer up to date guides.



But I have an idea.
Take a look at mixu's Lord mods. Download one, locate the files and compare his tables to yours and see what might be missing.

I will test it as it is now after work and see if it crashes for me too.

I tried going through and updating all of my tables to include the new columns added over the last few years, but it still crashes on recruit. I have no idea which table(s) I am missing that cause(s) the crash on recruit. Unfortunately I doubt that I'll be able to fix this issue. If anyone knows a recent guide for creating Lords which includes all the tables required for Campaign usage please let me know, or if anyone knowledgeable feels like taking a look, feel free.

Sorry guys. I can't fix missing data without knowing what I'm missing.

It looks like it does crash in Campaign now, though interestingly enough the Lord now shows her portrait image correctly in the recruitment window when it didn't when last I worked on the mod. Huh.

I'll update the description with it not working in Campaign and try a Hail Mary attempt at diagnosing the issue, but really I have no idea what they could have changed in the base game over 2 years that caused the break. Long period of time with me having no context.

It didn't conflict with old mods, but it's possible that it conflicts with new mods. All it takes to cause a crash is for another mod to use the same name for an ability, item, animation.. etc. If it's conflicting with a mod I definitely can't fix that; there's no way to know what is causing the issue. If it's broken in general after all the updates then it's possible it could be fixed, but unlikely that I could do it (I have no idea what the base game would have changed to break it). I'll see if I can at least test it in Campaign tonight with no other mods and see if that happens for me.

It's a really nice concept, but I don't know if it's conflicting with other mods, KMM says no, but it might be. When I recruit one as Malekith, the game crashes, haven't tried with the other DE factions but it seems the mod is broken as is. Do you think you could fix it eventually? I don't know if it'll crash when the other factions recruit one, but I guess I'll see eventually.

I didn't think this mod would still be needed or wanted.. I tried uploading it, but I really doubt the files will work given how old this mod is, and I know I can't fix it. I haven't been modding all this time since I couldn't get the Beastmaster to work. If it works after the update and people still get some joy out of it -- cheers. If not, I'm sorry.

Temporarily removing the mod shouldn't ruin anything, so not sure what caused that problem. Glad it resolved itself. As for changing animations, there aren't many animation sets that work with this head. Pretty much only High Elf Princess and Dark Elf Sword and Shield, which is why I use a combination of the two. Not planning on making any big changes to the mod to add more variations, pretty much just keeping the mod alive and fixing bugs.

I'm not sure what fixed my issue, but I loaded an old Tyrion campaign that never had this mod installed (and had it disabled when I started it up), then left the game, reselected this mod, and went back nito my Malekith game. The problem is solved, but I'm not sure ffor how long.

@The Popess What I'm saying is, everything loads fine in the game, except for my Malekith save. I have the mod enabled, but it still crashes before it finishes loading.

I got this mod, works great, I like it a lot. However, I deselected all my mods to play a multiplayer battle this morning, and after I put them back, my Malekith campaign started to crash whenever I tried to load it. I think it's because of this mod, because you said "if this unit exists in the game and you decide to remove my mod then your save game will stop working!", and I had several of these dreadlords. I'm just wondering if temporarily deselecting the mod for the multiplayer battle permanently ruined my save game, or if there is a way to fix it. Thanks.

Ah, I think either Cataph or Mixu found out how to fix the problem with the character portals not showing the proper characters ingame.

@dpslem Think this is due to the unique animations they added to monsters when killing certain units. It doesn't know what to do with my unit because it is not on the list of units in the game but is still a Lord so should have a unique animation. Think this is what causes the bug but there's no way to fix it I don't think :( Thank you for bringing it up, though.

Hi friend. I am using your wonderful work well. But I have a bug like that, do not know if it's your mode or any other reason. When a hero fights a monster while riding a lizard, she's body becomes cross-shaped when she dies. Can you test this problem?

@Turtle Senpai Actually the weapon characteristic of this lord should be hitting MORE than the average lord in most cases.. 5 instead of 3. If it's only hitting 1 then I'm guessing that's not actually a feature that works in this game? Let me know if other lords are and only mine is not.. not sure if I could do anything about it, though.

First of all, great mod! Adds a very nice extra option to the lords of the dark elves. However I was wondering if it's normal that these lors only hit 1 unit at a time. Is this because they're meant as a sort of duelist or has it not been patched in yet?

@Lone Strategos The addition of new units won't work with any skill overhauls as those skill overhauls don't take new units into consideration. The maker of that mod would have to include my unit, which is very unlikely; I don't think there's anything that I can do on my end without ruining it for default skill users.

Great mod, this is something I felt was missing.

I've noticed however, that it conflicts with JR's Old World Skill Tree Overhaul. Maybe you can find a way to fix that, if not, oh well.

@Nefer-kheperu-ata Manticores are beeeaaast. Kharybdiss are also in the game files, just only as references currently. So eventually they should exist.. and you know somebody gonna make a mount of one, factual or not. Or at least try to.

@chris Why combine them when users can just choose one, the other, or both? You can link it here if you want, though, and I don't mind you modifying my files in general if you want. If you are doing a male and then doing a combined mod then sure, then people can pick and choose between the three. :)
