@Syfe, what does this mod offer that isn't in the base game? The implementation in the base game is better imo

Please update for 2.3

Thanks.

@All: Since the "issue" that this mod initially attempted to fix is now part of the base game, thus I will not be updating this mod further. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Kepos: Thanks for the information! It's interesting that this one doesn't work with Primitive Players, as the mail file modified by this mod isn't listed as a file changed on the page of Primitive Players. Guess I'd have to do more looking. But if that patch you found works, then no need... for now.

@Dragon Ferocity
Just found out that HH:F isn't working with Primitive Players mod. Hyperplanes are just invisible. Then I found the patch mod Transparency Lite + Hidden Hyperlanes is working instead. Probably you like to view on that. Cheers!

I've done some looking in the code and I fairly certain that I won't be able to make hyperlanes only become visible once you enter a system. So for now, it'll have to stay as it is, but I enjoy it.

@Rampage, unless your stars are very close together, as some mods may make them, you'll only have to tilt to a 90` view to clearly see which way the hyperlane is going. That and a combination of a little zoom. I dont have a problem and not knowing the hyperlanes till I explore a system is immersive as #%$&! Love this mod.

+1

Is it possible to edit the mod so that the hyperlane extends all the way to an unexplored star?
Instead of only half way? This is simply a matter of practicality, it's too difficult just trying to find the other end of a hyperlane.

I get that we don't know where the hyperlane will end up. But the theory of the mod is undermined by the fact the hyperlanes are just hidden from the players persective, and are still there. So seeing the unsurveyed planet at other end of the hyperlane I hope seems a fair compromise.

Great, working even for savegames. Thx a lot! :steamhappy:

Hopefully by this weekend @Kepos.

Thx for updating, is it working for 2.0?

@Anthoux: I'm not sure, my guess is Yes, although I haven't tried.

Do achievements get disabled when using this mod?
AbsynthMinded 24. jan. 2018 kl. 13:48
In terms of Fog of War, it is not very realistic to hide a star. Even if outside a scanning or ship exploration range, basic visual observations will be possible to know it was 'out there'. Now hiding specific stars could be event related, in regard to Black Holes, Time-Space Distortions or Ancient Stellar Cloaking Techs. Because any light we are able to visually observe is thousands of years old by the time we are able to precieve it between star systems.

@The Scout: I can look into it, but my preliminary guess is that that's not possible.
Fantasy System 13. dec. 2017 kl. 19:47
Could you do a mod to hide stars aswell?

@mzilli: I'll look into it
mzilli 3. nov. 2017 kl. 21:51
Is there any possibility this could be made compatible with Galaxy Colours Restored?
Dragon Ferocity  [ophavsmand] 15. okt. 2017 kl. 13:55
@MacrosoftWord: Yes. This mod is purely a visual effect, nothing more.
WitchAlice 15. okt. 2017 kl. 13:05
can you still try to move to a random system and it will path there anyway?
Karchedon 14. okt. 2017 kl. 15:54
