On my map there are sometimes even more than a few thousand per type. So i don't know whats the problem. Maybe you need to produce more

I tried to use this to create more flexible freight stations (to look like rail yards) but the amount of cargo they can hold is not infinite, it seems to be capped slighly above 300 units.

This is NOT a Station it is as the name says an switchback. It is used for a train to go uphill and downhill in zigs and zags! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPEBDk_w5hY

@Leo Gris this station can fit infinite amounts of Cargo (at my Stations mostly like 2- 20k)

Нow much cargo can this station contain? With this station on career or oil the whole chain dont work (with mod New Industry), cos on station only 20-30 units of resources and extractive industries (that connected to station) are "closed". After few minutes they are "opened", again 20-30 units, again "closed".
But if i change this station to normal with platforms - there is hundreds and hundreds units of stone or barrels of oil.

Very nice! I too would like to see an update that adds a second road connection so we can have 2, one on either side of the station.

When I use this station my industries keep losing line usage. Does not happen with vanilla stations. Probably a problem with freight storage in the station.

Asking of course about version 1 ;)

That would be great in building custom stations. Just add some station assets (and wait for UG to improve tracks - better behaviour when they are closer to each other and custom max turning radious) and it'd be a great thing for small or very large railways.

Ihr baut diese und könnt OHNE Bahnhof etc auf die Straße umschlagen und somit auch mit Assets alles mögliche zusammen basteln wo es eng wird. Zb Industriegebiete > kleines Gleis Spitzkehre umschlag auf Straße somit versorgung ins Gebiet. Nur als eine Möglichkeit.
