It can happen. These mods were made and tested on clean installation of the game. Sometimes there can be a conflict with some other mods. Sometimes game crashes while generating java of new added mod but these are generated only once and should not crash anymore. But the more mods you have the bigger chance of crash is in game.

Not sure. This one is for steam version. For 2.3.1 you should use google and search some fansites. I made it for 2.3.1 too but not sure about this one. There are different IDs and some parts could be missing.
