Tokusatsu is the genre Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Sentai and countless other similar franchises are in. While it's certain that the Godzilla franchise started the genre off, it can't be understated just how much the Ultra Series has helped the Tokusatsu genre in terms of its growth.

Also, do yourself a favor and look beyond the godzilla franchise, there are other tokusatsu franchises and if you haven't looked beyond that..well, that's just childish
