Since TLS update. The mods are can now be seperate. Kinda nice imo :)
Terror Strike was made with some of the same assets from CSS, TRS the original owners used that as a base and since them and valve have worked together on a few occasions valve likely didn't see a problem with them experimenting and the end result is what they grew interested in as they saw great potential with it, even the thumbnail of this mod shows that the game itself was gonna be more centered around pure survival like the call of duty zombies that started in world at war the same year L4D1 came out instead of going from A to B, that's likely when valve came in and saw the potential the IP had so they expanded on it with their own knowledge of single player games with a narrative granted the story to L4D was tacked on and wasn't intentional on its release as it was just to be a bunch of parodies of different situations within a zombie apocalypse.
