could you make a version of this mod that only removes the invincibility frames?
❀♥.°Rocio°.♥❀ 18. aug. 2024 kl. 16:07
I just remember this mod, and i was interesting to put it again but... i remember this mod tecnically remove the bonus of Health u got in each new tier armor, with other plus negative side i think the Frames inmunnity.

Sadly not worth that, i really wish to find a mod can add a difficult for real witouth unfair treatments.
n3uva 31. jan. 2023 kl. 8:04
can you make a version that doesn't remove i-frames
Nocturn 11. nov. 2022 kl. 8:14
Will this corrupt my save files?
ICE spirit 29. maj 2021 kl. 8:40
I'm so sorry, but it seems like the game, especially FU is not made for that amount of damage. It makes the game almost impossible. It's also possible that I just suck at fighting in Starbound
Lakuna 26. apr. 2020 kl. 12:53
I don't know if this mod is still in active development, but I've noticed an issue where high defense values make me invincible to anything that doesn't ignore armor (i.e. lava and status effects). I've singled out this mod as the issue, although I do have plenty of others installed.
Xaliber 10. apr. 2020 kl. 20:46
Hey, SomethingRetarded! I'm helping maintain Supper's Combat Overhaul right now, and would love to make your mod compatible with it. I need your help though: to make this mod loads after Supper's.

I only need you to modify your include line in _metadata (like you did with FU):

"includes" : ["FrackinUniverse", "sup_overhaul"]

Could you please do that? It'd help me and many users immensely. Thanks a lot in advance!
Fagio di Fapo 29. dec. 2019 kl. 13:52
The lack of invulnerability frames makes fire traps and others an instakill. Is that the indended behaviour?
DoomDude 5. nov. 2019 kl. 11:26
I would like to use this mod, I what starbound to be a lot tougher
Jazz 7. aug. 2019 kl. 18:58
Is this mod outdated?
Kujo 29. juni 2019 kl. 21:09
I would literally pay for someone to update this mod to current.
Ciryl Lyn 27. juni 2019 kl. 16:32

NerdCuddles 25. apr. 2019 kl. 8:39

I keep getting oneshotted with end game gear and a Health 3 augment
Jack 24. apr. 2019 kl. 16:06
I would like to say, this mod is causing a bug! It makes you have an infinite starving glitch. Even for players in classic mode. It doesn’t seem to show up in the logs too. But a friend of mine spent the time testing all of our mods and this mod was the issue.
Sync 21. apr. 2019 kl. 18:44
can i use this mod with alternative armor scale?
Alb 25. jan. 2019 kl. 21:48
Ok cool. Thanks for the info. <3
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2019 kl. 20:58
@Alb
Your character will still lack their invulnerability frames. This is because that information, for some reason, is saved to the character file. Everything else should revert back to normal.
Alb 25. jan. 2019 kl. 17:43
What's to be expected if we unsub from this? Is it safe?

Great mod btw, just want to try something different this time, for reasons.
Aile 6. jan. 2019 kl. 16:58
Ok ty am trying to figure out what mod is causing the issue for my slime race traits being removed thanks for helping me :)
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2019 kl. 16:39
@Spekkle
Do you mean with Frackin' Races? I havn't touched racial traits.
Aile 6. jan. 2019 kl. 16:38
did yuo add something that makes it so that racial traits are turned off?
Chloroxite 11. aug. 2018 kl. 7:49
This mod is great but jesus christ starting out new characters is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. You die in like 2 hits to everything and you do not do enough damage to dispatch anyone fast enough. I thought you said that enemies take more damage as well as players, but I have not noticed any difference in time-to-kill for enemies.
26. juli 2018 kl. 0:59
This is incredible-- I'll never go back lol tyvm for making this <3

Looking forward to those add ons!! Make them mean pls I want to have more fun
IDrankALavaLamp 25. juli 2018 kl. 1:00
Can you make a mod that just removes the player invulnerability? For whatever reason such an easy thing just hasn't been done yet all by itself its always bound together in a bundke of things. I specifically cant install this due to the way it messes with armor and such, I understand if you dont have time to make the invulnerability removal in a seperate workshop item but I would be extremely pleased if you could do it! <3 Thanks in advance.
sethtnt 19. feb. 2018 kl. 10:28
This was the last place I expected to find a DF refrence XD
Matsuri 21. nov. 2017 kl. 10:17
Thank you!
Matsuri 21. nov. 2017 kl. 9:20
Where does that player UI come from? it's really cool
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2017 kl. 4:41
@Feral
What do you mean? It just means you are no longer invulnerable when you are hit by something. It was a broken (low damage, after armor is applied, dosn't trigger invulnerability which might seem good on paper but it ends up meaning that you take more damage because you wore more armor) and unnecessary (I suppose that part is subjective though) part of vanilla.
Jenno 20. nov. 2017 kl. 19:40
So you said that this removes player invulnerability frames, what exactly does that mean for things like monster contact damage.
Xaliber 19. nov. 2017 kl. 11:14
Didn't mean to push around; take your time! This already works great as it is.
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2017 kl. 10:19
@Xaliber
Whenever I get back into modding Starbound, I will. I don't know when that will be.
Xaliber 19. nov. 2017 kl. 10:16
Ah I see. I thought it was about calling something from lua. It's great because I can finally add this to my Gameplay Tweaks (Safe to Uninstall Anytime) collection. :)

Do you still have plans to add addons that enables boss immunity, and maybe a Decreased Damage addon (and other things)?
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2017 kl. 9:45
@Xaliber
The repercussion is that the character still has no invulnerability frames (and the opposite is true of a character made without DO installed and is now using DO).
While not really a big issue, it is something of note.
Xaliber 19. nov. 2017 kl. 9:43
Btw during testing I found out that I can uninstall DO without any repercussion on the character (or so it seems). I thought adding some stuff to the player character would require the mod to be always installed?
Xaliber 19. nov. 2017 kl. 9:32
I'm sorry - should have double checked before I opened my mouth. Turns out it seems to conflict with a WIP dungeon mod. Which is weird, since that mod doesn't modify the ship or add custom materials. More weirder that the error only shows up when that and DO are present...
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2017 kl. 8:41
@Xaliber
Thats really weird. I don't think this is caused by Difficulty Overhaul, at least not directly. It dosn't change anything about hull panels.

Are you using a custom race and/or ship? What about a mod that adds hull panels?
Xaliber 19. nov. 2017 kl. 8:12
Okay, so I've just tried Difficulty Overhaul and I noticed this when I use it with a new character. Exactly when the character just orbited on the starting planet. There's a bunch of these in the log:

[23:03:44.725] [Error] Invalid tile 'rivetedhullpanel'
[23:03:44.728] [Error] Invalid tile 'invalid'

It spams the log, so much that it reaches 2 MB. I'd like to give a copy of the log but the file is larger than any pastebin could allow.

It only seemed to happen in the first load up though. After I quit the game, and load the same character, the error isn't there. Of course, uninstalling Difficulty Overhaul also fixes the issue. Any ideas?
ByteMeIfYouCan 18. nov. 2017 kl. 21:33
Thanks for the tip. You were absolutely right. Tried all three and this one really hits the sweet spot. (Works amazing with Frackin' Universe too)
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2017 kl. 23:56
@Mechamaniax
They all work with multipalyer. It depends on what your prefrence is. Difficulty Overhaul is the most recent one of the series, and it's difficulty is somewhere between D+ and Nightmare Edition. Difficulty Overhaul and Nightmare Edition both require new characters to work, and make permament changes to those new characters, where as Difficulty+ does not. NE characters are compatible with Difficulty Overhaul, and vise versa, but not compatible with D+. Finally, D+ and NE currently also have addons that I've made, for further customization.

Overall though, I recommend Difficulty Overhaul.
ByteMeIfYouCan 17. nov. 2017 kl. 17:38
Which one of your difficulty mods would you recommend for multiplayer?
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2017 kl. 13:06
@Alucard3598
Not currently.
BigGreenGayDad 12. nov. 2017 kl. 3:50
Are there any add-ons for this version yet?
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2017 kl. 20:34
@Smocca
Thank you
Smocca 22. okt. 2017 kl. 20:31
I love this mod.
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2017 kl. 17:10
@ItsJustDance
Yes. This mod dosn't touch racial abilities from FR and I use the two together.
ItsJustDance 28. sep. 2017 kl. 16:24
Is this mod Frackin Races Compatible? I've noticed that none of my races have their abilities.
SomethingRetarded  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2017 kl. 20:11
@Electromancer
Yes.
Jetstream Storm 19. sep. 2017 kl. 17:42
Does this also include the increased damace cap?
