interesting, but annoying after 10 seconds. we get it, there is trouble.
the bell should be rung like 3 times every 30 seconds, not constantly.
DONG DONG DONG DONG DONG DONG DONG DONG.
it is fun however to ring the bell yourself and watch people scurry a bit. lol that's the only thing i liked.

would be nice is you could get written up for pulling a false alarm but since NPC humanoids act similiar to players that'd be hard to accomplish.

Where are the bells in the cities? (I'm in Windhelm and the bell rang when a threat appeared) but I couldn't track down the exact location of it

I like this mod. Adds a touch of realism. Also alerts me to threats at the other end of town I may be otherwise unaware of. Nice work. :)

Mod has been updated to version 1.2.2
Changes:

Several NavMesh bugs were fixed that caused issues, especially when used with Open Cities Skyrim.
Riften and Markarth no longer needs any NavMesh edits. A lot of unneeded edits were removed in other cities too.
Fixed the endless ringing that happened during some civil war quests.
Disabled some unneeded debug functions in the scripts for a small performance gain.
Open Cities Skyrim, Immersive Citizens and JKs Skyrim patches has been updated.
Some other minor bug fixes.

Great concept, but once you progress to a certain point in the civil war, the bells are going off by default (no NPC reactions, just the constant "gong gong gong gong gong gong gong gong gong gong gong gong")... and the Windhelm bell is incredibly hard to find to shut it off. Some local map markers would be great.

I did try your mod, found the placements were conflicking other important mods to the game and in view did ring if you were in trouble with the guards and did not ring when a bunch of vampires attack from the back gate or front gate of soiltude in front of the guards too ...once when a dragon did attack inside but some NPC stay at their stalls ....LOL ...placement was the biggest down fall ...for me ..good idea thanks :)

Love the mod, works with all DLC and other mods well, if not place in the same location:) The guards alerting citizens when you do crime btw too lol , only wish they do that when the Vampires attack the big cities too? Nice work anyway and Many thank you! kudos :)

Really awesome mod! But unfortunately I have this strange issue where the bell ALWAYS rings and never goes off ever. I can turn it off by going to the bell only to see a guard just turns it on again. All the cities have constant bell-ringing and my ears bleed sometimes..

The bells work for me just fine. Maybe the guard in charge of the bell was killed or stuck somewhere.
