a mod like this is very unlikely to cause save game corruption, at worst it would simply not work, and you can check it's effectiveness yourself by just going into a game a merchant replublic and seeing if, on average, most of the respect comes from prestige or age factor
I already give my dynasty members prestige by abusing the republic offices with rampant nepotism. I award honorary titles according to future heirs, choose the best dynasty members for all the positions in my council (when possible), and make sure that my most promising heir is my regent and declared heir. Even at (prestige x 2) it's totally worth it. I try to avoid giving rival patricians any possitions that raise prestige, and if I can make one of them my spy master and get him imprisoned by the Byzantines that's great too.
No, only the shitty ones with no checks in place to prevent nepotism.
B: Aren't all capitalist societies in reality just ruled by nepotism, therefore the vanilla is quite accurate. ;)
Thanks for attention ^^
What about compatibilities? Should be compatible with everything that doesn't mods elections, right? HIP-compatible?
Thanks for your work.
I'd recommend adding the events and other features into a second mod, or to be switchable at the beginnig of each game. I like the simplicity of the current mod a big plus :)
