Does this mod have equivelent effects on NPC destruction magic?
I have noticed mid-way through the game (level 26) that some medium/higher level mages (that die still very quickly in melee, so they aren't boss-level) will sometimes do damage with adept level spells that kill me in seconds, and can even two-hit me (one spell in each hand) with expert level skills, even though I have 300 heath. These NPCs will sometimes seem like normal or 'normal+1' enemies in every respect of their durability and melee, but when they start casting spells i will drop dead out of nowhere before I can react when seconds prior i was breezing through them. I too am playing on expert.
If it is the case that this mod buffs NPC destruction magic in the same way as the player, I can tolerate that; I'll just need to adjust my equipment and strategy to protect more against magic. But I really just would like to know if this is the case or just my imagination.

There should be no conflictions. And I haven't used midas magic myself but as long as the magic is destruction magic it should be altered by this mod.

How does this mod effect Runes? I've been wanting to forever play a rune based character, but you can only place one at a time, and sadly they are flat set to 50 damage.

Just remove posibility to 100% decrase magica cost of spells, that would preety much do the trick xD While also leaving that mod as it is it would become not only more realistic destruction like in mod (and more logical), but also add, a need to fight with certain tactics, cause mana would end at times hehe.

so let's say if I had the spell that does 100 damage and with level 77 desctruction I would just do 177 damage? Doesn't really improve the magic really, even though I wish to know how to do it, so I would adjust the magic balance to myself. And not just destruction, but alteration and other too.

Thank you, and this is a great mod and I am not trying to tell you what to do because I know that modding is hard work, but on the topic of runes would you be able to make it so that the runes benefit form the augmented perks and the disintergrate, deep freeze etc perks

I'm playing on legendary, with the Duel Combat Realism mod, and all of my characters have one life, so if they die even once, I start a new one (Skyrim was too boring and easy, I needed a challenge) However, whenever I try to make a mage, I never make it past level 10, because I Destruction sucks and doesn't hurt anyone, and other mages can hit me with a 200 damage lightning bolt. I've been looking for a mod to help make destruction stronger without overpowering it and this mod does a pretty decent job. Thanks :)

If you guna play mage then make the most of the magic schools. I play heavy armour dual wielding mainly with a bit of destruction and conjuration on the side. With the new 1.9 Update you'll be able to do everything!

Trystanwellman, its not so much that Destruction is a bad way to go, just that other methods, bow, or sword along with smithing and enchanting are very overpowered. resistant monsters(dragons), having to aim, low magicka pool (mostly at lower levels), are all disadvantages to destruction magic. At say level 40 a decent warrior can dispatch a dragon quickly, while the mage has to cast over and over again. Also lightning can drain your magicka.

Honestly I don't see the need. I play a pure mage on Master with destruction being my primary, and I'm literally invincible. 85% magic resist, 80% physical resist and fireballs that just slaughter people. And yes I played master all the way from the beginning until now, and I've never once thought that destruction needed a bonus. Good on you for making a mod to help, but could you explain to me your reasoning for making it? I'm honestly curious.

He meant Destruction level. Nothing in the mod seems to take into account player level. But it does seem to be on par with melee. If you enchant and smith maybe melee will still be more powerful though.

You should do the same with healing and damaging Restoration spells, in my opinion. Hope you get Dawnguard soon, and you look up what isn't working with Vampiric Drain.

You bring up good points, and personally I like it the way it is, so I'll leave it for now. If someone has a problem with it then they can make their own damn mod. Like I did, there was no overhaul mod I liked so I took it into my own hands.
