That's a very creative use of this mod!

If I need stars, what I do is put the brightness and radius at minimum and attach them to the sky. Results vary, but it usually does the trick!

wanna know a trick with this?
if you want to make the sun but you can't get the actual env_sun to get into your frame, spawn one of these lightbulb stools and put it really close to a camera you're using.

I still haven't figured out what is causing this bug or how to fix it. If I can ever figure out the fix, or if someone wants to look over my code and see what I may have screwed up on, I'd be more than happy to implement that fix into the addon. I also apologize for the inconvenience, but I hope this workaround helps at least somewhat.

Okay, everyone, I found a workaround for the Classic Lights that get broken/stuck after saves and/or duplications. Unfortunately, this doesn't make them usable again, but it does clear it so that you can redo the light with the proper colors/physics without the eye sore left behind after the classic light breaks.

In the console, type in "ent_remove_all classiclight". This will clear out all the classic lights that are stuck and you'll be able to replace them with new ones. Keep in mind you will need to jot down the original colors of the lights you used when you first spawned them so that you have an idea of what you want (I highly recommend the preset feature for this reason.)

For some reason, it does not work with saved games very well. I've encountered this bug myself but don't know exactly how to fix it, unfortunately.

What is going on? After load my save spawned light cant be removed, color changed to standart cold white and i cant catch it with whysgun or use delete-tool on it. Can you help?

All you need to do is right click to spawn it without the tether. If that doesn't work let me know.

I'm sure you may have answered this somewhere, but I can't seem to find the light without the tether attached. It shows it's in my spawn menu but nothing in it.

Oh... that's what you were talking about.

Unfortunately there is little that can be done about that. I wish I could, but that would probably involve messing with the duplicator code itself, something a little advanced for me yet

What's that all bout? This is the classic light stool, it's got the models needed. You can just use this one... it's working fine as far as I know.

Well, Corridore, how about asking Garry Newman on Twitter on how to fix the Classic Lightbulb? Its optional. I was making a Garry's Mod video and I have to be forced in order to make a scene all over again. If not, then Garry Newman has to add the Classic Lightbulb to the mod himself.

The dupe tool has never really worked well with this tool for some reason, not since the change to update 13. Try using Advanced duplicator.

You need to fix your lights they don't save in dupes so we can't make lightbar with flashing lights.

That is a problem with the duplicator, unfortunately. Try Advanced Duplicator.

Yo! It's been long since I used this. I remember that when I left the colored lights on a game, saved it, quitted, got back and loaded the save, the light bulbs stayed there, but all white without the color I gave to them. I couldn't grab them nor eliminate them. I wonder if that's fixed now?

Ah, ok. It may be because it doesn't duplicate all the necessary settings. As said before, you can recolor the light using the color stool. Just make a note of the color you used before when making the light and use the color stool to readd it.

Okay... what duplicator (the standard gmod one of advanced duplicator) were you using exactly? And does it show up as an actual error.mdl or just not show the color? If it's just the color you can re-color it using the color tool.

I found a bug where if you duplicate somthing with the light it will error out and not show it as the right color

The rope that is used is just like the rope used in the rope stool and the normal gmod light stool. There is no way to change the rope to make it behave differently. You can try right clicking to spawn a light without a rope and playing with the rope stool to see if you can get a better result. I think there are also a couple of ragdoll cables that you can recolor as a rope, but I can't remember what they are off hand.

There is a glow stool that is included in the Drako pack, but its code conflicts with the outline glow stool. I just have to change it a little so that they don't conflict.

Oh... that's right. The Glow Tool is in conflict with the glow outline tool, which was made by another user. I've had several people point that out. Okay.... I will modify the Drako2k pack glow tool to make it compatable.

Went and subscribed to it because a need a better smoke effect - but I don't see how any of these could achieve an eye glow...
I would use the light stool, turn both settings to 0, and position the glowy orb over their eye. I couldn't do that in Gmod 13 because there's three orbs now, but this one brings it back to one so I can do that again. ^^

This wouldn't work for that. Try my "Drako2k's SFX Pack for Gmod 13" mod. There is a glow tool that will give you that effect nicely.

Correct. This makes one nice sprite to play with rather than 4 in a row. It's great for comics and machinima. It's okay to be a little confused. I understand. :)

Ohh, you mean how the new one has 4 sprites, but this one only has one? Gotcha. Makes sense now. Almost forgot that the Gmod 13 light did that...

Not to the brightness, but when you use the transparency, the sprites also disappear, leaving you with a purely transparent light source. Even if the sprites remain, you see 4 sprites lined up in a row. This elimnates the model and brings those sprites together to create one bright ball of light for use. Test it out for yourself.

As far as I know transparency has no effect on the ball of light itself in Gmod 13.
