Made the sounds of the PDA a lot quiter according to the player feedback.

As many of you requested, you can now use the minimap with the PDA. This update introduces several new features and options:

• New context menu option on the PDA: "Show Mini Map" (Shown only if the Sandbox Settings are set)
  
• The map and minimap hotkeys now require the PDA to be equipped in the primary hand
  
• A new sound effect plays when toggling the minimap
  
• Sandbox option to restrict minimap access to PDA use only
  
• If the PDA is not equipped in the primary hand, the minimap is automatically closed (because let’s be honest - you wouldn’t see where you are otherwise 😉)

Fixes

• Enabled attachement slots for B41
  
• Added missing PDA texture when placed on the ground

Just a small update this time, I've managed to get the improved custom 3D PDA model working in Build 41 as well. So now everyone can enjoy the fresh new look, no matter which version you're on.

with this update it is now possible to have a full map interaction without needing a pen in the inventory.
That means you can freely draw, write, create symbols, move the symbols, markings and erase everything when you access the Map throught the PDA!

I just published a new update with a small but useful fix for B41—you can now finally draw on the map without a pen when accessing it through the PDA.

Also, as many of you requested in the comments and DMs, I’ve added a shortcut for quick map access. If you’ve enabled map access only through the PDA and have one in your inventory, pressing NUMPAD 0 will now open the map instantly.

Just a heads-up: this behavior will change in the future. Once a custom animation for the PDA is ready, you’ll need to equip the PDA first before the map opens—just like in the STALKER universe.

Here's a new, somewhat larger update for you all, featuring the following additions and improvements:


Thanks to AXVLL, who provided the groundwork for Fahrenheit calculations and the sandbox option. Now, everyone who prefers Fahrenheit over Celsius can enable it in the sandbox settings.


As requested by many of you, it is now possible to write on and edit the map without needing a pen in your inventory.


The PDA has a glowing screen, right? It should emit light when equipped—and now it does! Enjoy the added immersion.


The Weather Forecaster message display has been cleaned up and refactored for better readability. Huge thanks again to AXVLL for supporting this improvement!

Hotfix for PDA in B41

I've dug a bit deeper into the code and was able to fix a couple of issues that you guys reported.


Nox worked on a new, more detailed model, and I got it fully working for B42. A B41 revamp will follow a bit later.


It was reported that the vanilla radio broadcasts couldn't be received through the PDA. In B42, this is now fully functional again and works as intended.
In B41, it's currently only possible when the PDA is placed down. I'm not sure why yet and will need a bit more time to investigate.


Added a localization option for the PDA context menu — it's now possible to translate the interaction options of the PDA as well.


Added translations for PDA interactions for all supported languages.

And because I forgot to fix the same glitch on B41 code here is the fix for that too.

Fixed a rare occasion when while trying to place a placabale furniture the player could cycle through other items with R and place the PDA as a walkie talkie tile in the world, making the PDA disappear.
