- The update adds textures for captains
- There are three new regions (one for Armenia, another one for Pontus and another one for Epirus) .
- new animation for hoplites: after this update, Greeks will fight like Greeks, not like Macedonians.
- The Diadochi factions can no longer recruit militia hoplites. However, in tier III barracks, these factions can recruit Hypaspists, a unit imported from the Alexander campaign.
- The Egyptians no longer have two religions. Instead, the official religion of Egypt is the syncretic cult of Serapis. This faction can construct temples dedicated to Serapis and his consort, Isis.
- the Spear Warband (from the Germanic factions) can no longer use phalanx formation. Instead, they can form shield walls.
