Balance - Big thanks to everyone in TGP for feedback/suggestions/advice/playtesting! : )
- utilt and ustrong have been replaced
- dspecial can be cancelled into dtilt (thanks to Veglord Supreme for the suggestion)
- Unified fstrong knockback & angles across all aim directions
- fstrong now has decaying knockback
- Walljump now grants a flat 30% (being struck still only restores up to 30% if below 30%)
- Most base kb, scaling kb, and kb angle values have been rouned to the nearest multiple of 0.5, 0.05, and 5 respectively
- ftilt now scoots forward a tiny bit
- dstrong non-final hits have lower hitstun but can no longer be tech'd
- dstrong endlag increased (20->26, 30->39 on whiff)
- Last hit of dstrong now sends away from center instead of always toward where Retrobalst was facing
- dattack can be cancelled into ustrong in the first 3 frames
- nspecial grab startup reduced (10->8)
Bug fixes
- Can no longer ignore parry stun with tilts/jab after fstrong is parried
Presentation
- Added character select sound
- Changed some names of alt palettes to be less direct references
- Updated ftilt smear
- grabs now slide opponents into position instead of suddenly appearing in your hands
Runes
- New rune to cancel dspecial into dstrong

Balance
- back throw cycles before throw increased (12->21)
- back throw cycles after throw increased (16->17)
- Increased back throw hitpause (6.1->7) and hitpause scaling (1.05->1.2)
- Former rune I has been made baseline: Energy immediately recharges back up to the 30% mark on contact with ground, wallkick, or taking damage (things that would normally restore uspecial for most characters)
Runes
- Rune I has been repurposed - it now grants the same energy bonus on hit.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where trading hits during nspecial would incorrectly cause opponents to be teleported into the next grab

New Rune:
- 'I' Residual Charge: Immediately restore energy up to the 30% mark on contact with ground/wallkick/taking damage, but reduces the normal passive recharge rate proportionally (time to reach full is unchanged)
- This rune is being looked at as a possible baseline addition
Balance:
- Increased startup of dattack (5->8)
- Can now fastfall after last-ditch uspecial
- Increased time to fully recharge energy while grounded (1.5->2.0)
- Reduced speed boost on bair (8->7.5)
Presentation:
- dattack now does a tiny hop during startup
AI:
- dspecial may now be selected to target opponents below Retroblast

Balance:
- Shrunk ftilt's hitbox to cover less of the body
- Changed uair kb angle (80->90)
Ustrong Balance: Thanks to LessTime for the suggestions
- Can no longer fastfall during ustrong
- Adjusted ustrong bkb (10->9) and skb (0.9->1)
- Corrected tiny hitbox at base of feet to now match bkb (9.8->9) and skb (0.9->1)
- Increased endlag (13->20 on hit, 20->25 on whiff)
- Changed kb angle (80->90)
- Moved 2 cycles from after releasing button to before/during charge frame (unchanged 22 frames of total startup)
- Decreased lateral movement multiplier (effectively damping movement) during endlag (0.85>0.8)
Presentation:

- Added down-taunt transformations for the Mettaton, Queen, Cabinet Man, and Rotom alts

Balance:
- Energy now only starts recovering on contact with the ground, no longer from getting hit or wall-jumping
- To compensate, using uspecial while empty will do a last-ditch-effort burst, granting some height, but entering pratfall (Thanks to LessTime for the suggestion)
- Reduced fspecial horizontal speed (9 -> 8.5)
- Reduced fspecial vertical speed (7.5 -> 6.5)
- Reduced total uspecial flight time (1.1s -> 0.7s)
- Increased aerial energy recovery time (~3.66s -> 4.5s) (Also reworked the calculation for these) (Typo in Munophone version of these notes - aerial and grounded were switched, will be corrected by next patch)
- Increased grounded energy recovery time (~1.375s -> 1.5s)
- Reduced dair bounce speed (-7 -> -6)
- Increased bair endlag to match dair (17->21, 21->27 with whifflag)
- Decreased fair's visual and hitbox size (slightly)
Presentation:
- Added audio cue when energy runs out during uspecial
- Added embers falling during uspecial
- Updated munophone with the uspecial change

- dspecial hitbox shrunk to expose the very front of the car's hurtbox to allow it to be challenged by melee attacks
- uair hitbox adjusted - less disjoint, more coverage on the body
- bair/dair sweetspot hitbox shrunk closer to the feet, visual adjusted appropriately
- secondary taunt hitbox size increased
- crouching hurtbox is 2 pixels taller
- nair's lingering hitbox is now split into two smaller hitboxes focused on the hand and foot
