The following is a list of changes and bug fixes in version 1.0.3.

Note: The issue with Mixu's Unlocker was due to a corrupted install on my machine. After eradicating Mixu's Unlocker from my pc and subscribing again it is working. So the mod is compatible with Mixu's and the Runeword Forging screen should work with any custom Dwarf lords, though custom units added by new factions would require a submod.

Note: It appears that the Rakarth update has introduced a bug in the game engine which causes intermittent freezes and or crashes to the desktop for mods that use the lua UIComponent SetTooltip functions, which my mods use extensively. I believe this issue is being raised with CA and we can only hope that they can determine what the issue is and rectify it in short order.

Changes


- The Ancestral Renown system for Belegar will stop accruing renown when the maximum tier is reached.


Bug Fixes


The following changes are being added to try and prevent some intermittent data loss issues after a battle has been fought. I have tested these mechanics extensively and am unable to replicate the issue, but have a theory of what may be occurring for some users.

- The data loading mechanism of Belegar's Ancestral Renown has been enhanced with some code that checks if the value being loaded is less than the current renown amount or renown tier. This should hopefully prevent the case where loading after a battle would lose the current renown amounts and tier on rare occasions.

- The data loading mechanism of Grombrindal's Valour Rewards has been enhanced with some code that checks if the value being loaded are the defaults instead of the actual current values. This should hopefully prevent the case where loading after a battle would lose the current valour rewards on rare occasions.

- The data loading mechanism of Thorgrim's Resources system has been enhanced with some code that checks if the value being loaded are the defaults instead of the actual current values. This should hopefully prevent the case where loading after a battle would lose the current purchased resources on rare occasions.


Additions


- New Slayer (Axe Throwers) unit being added in preparation for Ungrim's new mechanics.

- New Slayer (Pistol Harasser) unit being added in preparation for Ungrim's new mechanics.


Balance Changes


- Thorgrim's resources bonuses have been lowered slightly.

- Grombrindal's valour rewards have been lowered slightly.

- Some of Belegar's Renown bonuses have been lowered a little.

- The Stonemasons Physical resistance bonus for holding Karak Eight Peaks has been changed from 15% to 10%.

- The Reload Time reduction rune has been changed from between 10% and 15% to 6% to 10% at tier 3, and from 15% to 20% to 10% to 14% at tier 4.

- Base damage of Runic Mortar changed from 150 to 100. While the Bonus V Infantry has been increased from 150 to 180 and the Collision Radius has been increased from 0.16 to 0.25. This should increase the area where models are damaged but reduce the direct impact damage.

Bug Fixes


- Fixed a few instances of rune combination bonuses not matching their descriptions.

- When Belegar has unlocked tier 10 of the Renown system the amount of renown no longer increments. This should fix the issue where the renown would reset once the player had passed the maximum level.


Additions


- New runeword crafting bonuses added for the dwarfs of Kraka Drak. When playing with Cataph's Kraka Drak - Norse Dwarfs 2.0 mod crafted runewords will receive additional resistances for each tier that has been unlocked.

Tier 1 = +4% Magic Resistance
Tier 2 = +6% Fire Resistance
Tier 3 = +8% Missile Resistance
Tier 4 = +10% Physical Resistance

- New runeword crafting bonuses added for the Greybeards Prospectors. When playing with Elon's Greybeards mod crafted runewords will receive additional missile ammo and missile damage bonuses as tiers are unlocked.

Tier 1 = +5% Missile Ammo
Tier 2 = +10% Missile Ammo
Tier 3 = +15% Missile Ammo and +5% Missile Damage
Tier 4 = +20% Missile Ammo and +10% Missile Damage

- New runeword bonus for Mixu's Karak Azul dwarf lord. They have the power of all defensive runes doubled and have their runewords last 15 turns.

Changes


- The monsters from Ungrim's Monster Hunt mechanic can only be recruited once. If they die, that's it, they are gone for the campaign so be sure to protect them where you can.

- The armies in the Monster Hunts have been made more challenging by adding more higher tier units.

Balance Changes


- The Stonemasons (Great Weapons) have had their AP damage increased from 9 to 18. Their base damage has been lowered from 42 to 39.

- The Thunderer (Marksmen) have received several small changes in order to solidify their role as a non-melee unit.
  • Health reduced by 480 points
  • Melee Attack reduced to 22 from 24
  • Melee Defence reduced to 26 from 30
  • Charge Bonus reduced to 15 from 20

- The number of models for each of the hidden runeword units has been increased from 2 to 4.

- The bonuses in Belegar's Ancestral Renown mechanic have all been lowered by a minimum of 20%.

- Grotha the Giant Boar from Ungrim's mechanic has had the Bonus v Infantry removed, but it's base damage has been increased and a small amount of splash damage has been added.

- Several of the runes in the runeword crafting screen have been re-balanced.

Rune of Shielding (Magic resistance) (Available from tier 1)
  • Tier 1 changed from 5-8 to 6-8
  • Tier 2 changed from 8-11 to 8-10
  • Tier 3 changed from 11-14 to 10-12
  • Tier 4 changed from 14-17 to 12-14

Rune of Iron (Fire resistance) (Unlocked at tier 2)
  • Tier 2 changed from 8-11 to 8-10
  • Tier 3 changed from 11-14 to 10-12
  • Tier 4 changed from 14-17 to 12-14

Master Rune of Stone (Missile resistance) (Unlocked at tier 3)
  • Tier 3 changed from 11-14 to 10-12
  • Tier 4 changed from 12-17 to 12-14

Master Rune of Adamant (Physical resistance) (Unlocked at tier 3)
  • Tier 3 changed from 11-14 to 10-12
  • Tier 4 changed from 14-17 to 12-14

Master Rune of Gromril (Ward save) (Unlocked at tier 4)
  • Tier 4 changed from 14-17 to 7-10

Rune of Flight (Missile Damage) (Unlocked at tier 2)

Master Rune of Stromni (Missile Ammo) (Unlocked at tier 4)
  • Tier 4 changed from 14-17 to 11-13

- The Growth per turn from the Stonemasons buildings has been increased at each tier.
  • Tier 1 increased from 2 to 5.
  • Tier 2 increased from 4 to 10.
  • Tier 3 increased from 6 to 15.


Clarifications


- Belegar's Ancestral Renown tooltip may be causing some misconceptions. When the player advances to a new tier the Renown amount in the tooltip may reset to zero, as it represents the amount of Renown the player has toward unlocking the next tier.

As an example:
  • The player starts with zero Renown.
  • The player fights a battle on turn 3 and gains 20 Renown from winning.
  • The player fights a battle on turn 5 and gains an additional 25 Renown. They now have a total of 45. The target to move to the next tier is 50.
  • The player fights a battle on turn 7 and gains 15 Renown. They move to the next tier, the red bar is updated, and the Renown amount is reset.
  • The tooltip will show that the player has 10 Renown. This is how much has been accumulated toward the next tier. 5 was used to reach the target of 50, and the remaining 10 carried over.

To unlock tiers 1 and 2 requires 50 Ancestral Renown. It starts to increase from there with tier 3 requiring 75, tier 4 needing 100 and so on.


Unable to replicate


The following are the issues I have been unable to replicate that have been reported by users. If you are experiencing any of these issues and can provide additional details that can help track down the problem. Please post any pertinent information in the 'Coming in version 1.0.3' discussion thread.

- Grombrindal's Valour Rewards bonuses are lost and they are no longer displayed in the Rewards screen or shown on the related units stats.

- The upkeep rune does not apply it's bonus.

Quick minor update to remove some debugging code I had accidentally left in. No version change required.

Bug Fixes


- Fixed issue with Thorgrim's Upkeep reduction upgrade in the Resources screen so it actually removes 10% upkeep instead of adding it.

- Fixed issue with Ungrim's mechanic, where the monster hunt encounter battle is not triggering when you click on engage, if you have previously chosen not to, or have loaded from a save game after the monster hunt has been triggered.

This was caused by an issue with the save\load mechanism not storing the location of the enemy army correctly. It may fix other issues with the hunt not triggering correctly that I was unable to replicate.

- Thunderer Marksmen have been changed from the Close Quater Infantry unit group to the Missile Infantry unit group.

- Fixed issue where lords other than Ungrim could upgrade a unit of Slayers with the 10 Acclaim that was given to them at the start of the game. The Acclaim is now only given to Ungrim, and he instead receives 20.

Other lords will still see the upgrade arrow on Slayers as I have not figured out a way to remove this yet.

- The Acclaim resource is no longer linked to the Dwarf culture in the database. It should just sit in the background and no longer override the Oathgold icon for any of the Dwarf legendary lords.

- Fixed issue where it was possible to purchase the same upgrade multiple times on Thorgrim's Resources of the Karaz Ankor screen.

- Fixed issue where the player could spend more Oathgold than they have available in the runeword forge screen.


Changes


- The Masonry Enclave, Guild Hall and Stonemasons Chapters buildings will be changed so they do not remove growth. Instead they have a small increase to growth, provide less public order and will cost more gold (an additional 500 at each tier) and take longer to build (+1 turn for the Guild Hall and +2 turns for the Stonemason Chapter building).

- Grombrindal's Valour Rewards screen now shows tooltips for disabled nodes so the player can see what they are building towards and plan ahead.

- Quarrellers, Rangers, Bugman's Rangers, Irondrakes, Ironbreakers, Thunderers and Thunderer Marksmen now gain bonuses from Grombrindal's Valour rewards that affect Infantry. Previously they only received bonuses from Missiles and Rifles categories.

- New icon added to the main campaign bar for Ungrim to show Acclaim. When the player hovers over the new icon, it will show the current Acclaim they have available for Slayer upgrades. Oathgold icon should now be visible, though it can also be viewed from the Runeword Forging screen.

- Reworked Thorgim's Resources mechanic as the initial version had the potential to miss selected upgrades and lose them. While I could not replicate the issue myself the rework should prevent future instances of that behaviour.

- Added descriptions for new units.
