Radio Istanbul was established. Works from Radio Ankara were transferred to Radio Istanbul. With this update, we first thought of uploading Atatürk's favorite works to Radio Ankara and putting new European and modern works to Radio Istanbul. However, in our subsequent research, we learned that since there was no radio receiver at that time, Radio Istanbul (now TRT Istanbul Radio) started broadcasting every evening with the help of a loudspeaker placed on the door of the "Büyük Postahane" building in Sirkeci. The aim was for the public to listen to and recognize radio broadcasts and to spread the concept of radio by telling them to their own circles. Therefore, the works published were mostly Turkish folk music works. On top of this information, we have included mostly folk music (which Atatürk also loved) at Radio Istanbul. However, when we look at Ankara, we see that it is the city of firsts in most issues, the greatest innovations and revolutions have come out of this city. For this reason, in Radio Ankara, we will include songs using more western musical instruments with future updates.
