Enhanced Audio Resources is a sound pack for the source engine that aims to completely overhaul the hl2_sound_misc_dir.vpk file that most games and mods that run the source engine run. The results? A new source engine experience.

The complete pack replaces over 1,400 base files to give your game a fresh new coat of paint. You can find a link to that at the top of the description.

The aim of this mod is to represent realism without changing the initial intent of the vanilla sounds.

This part of EARs modifies:
  • Main Menu UI
  • Spawn Menu UI
  • Buttons
  • Player Footsteps
  • Weapon Switching
  • Pain Sounds
  • Geiger Counter
  • Suit Vox
  • Decal Spray
  • Game Startup*

*To have a Gamestartup sound, download this:

you must type:

+play "ui/gamestartup.mp3"

In your Gmod launch options or your autoexec.cfg, the resulting song will be Clair De Lune, the song that plays in the video.

Agreed. I don't want the different button or UI sounds, cause they're sometimes used by other mods.

something is causing weird sound errors. I got something about sound testing from the console
