I built this 1:1 (actual size) Excelsior with elements of the NX-2000 and the NCC-2000 that I liked most. It has a fully explorable interior, many cargo areas, two shuttle bays, crew quarters, and more. It is a large ship, so eats up fuel, though not at an unmanageable rate. The turning could be better, so feel free to add more thrusters into the warp nacelles, that's where most of them are located. Enjoy!

EDIT: I did what I could to improve the turning slightly, I don't want to get too crazy adding more thrusters and RCS and end up making the Excelsior worse on fuel consumption. If anyone finds a really happy balance between power and efficiency feel free to let me know in the comments. Maybe someday I will install Oxygen generation but for now I'm very happy just to have one of my favorite ships in Star Trek parked near my other builds.

this ship is great. in fact I've started to kit bash it in true trek fashion. converting the saucer and nacelles with a self built Miranda style engineering hull, rebuilt bridge, observation lounge captains ready room and situation room. in order to build a centaur class star ship. i will be rebuilding a lot of the interior also. when i finish i will publish it with your permission as the bass is your model.
