Introduction
Hi, everyone!

The "Over the Moon" achievement is one of the least obtained here on Steam, even because before FFIX was ported on PC there was no need to get in this way the four moonstones!

I'll try to give a brief guide on how and when to get the four moonstones, in order to unlock the achievement - take into account that this is only a short guide and must be employed with other full walkthroughs.

Before the list, let me also clarify that you must be obtain FOUR moonstones during FOUR precise and (often) missable events, but you are NOT required to hold them all four at the same time. You can syntetize them, you can sell them or do whatever you want with them, you will get the achievement on obtaining the fourth one. This isn't very clear, since this achievement didn't exist back in the days!

Oh, and by the way, if you cheat and add 99 moonstones you won't get any achievement, so better continue reading!
I
The first moonstone is very easy to get. You're in Alexandria's castle, in the first minutes, when you are thrown into your second (after the rope thing with Vivi) FFIX minigame. Here, you have to press perfectly all the keys that the computer give you in the 1on1 "battle", where you also are impressing the noblemen - the "A Round of Applause" achievement.

It's very easy and you will not need to slow down the game, just be sure to play it with your keyboard so that you are more responsive. You will have to use extensively the left and right keys, more than the up and down ones, and you'll also be using more the X and C keys, even if you'll need also V and B.

You want to get this: "Of 100 nobles watching, 100 were impressed". If you mess up with ONE single key, press F1, fast forward to the end and replay it. After this you'll control Steiner: with him, just go down to where the Queen is sitting and she'll give you your first moonstone - keep in mind that you MUST visit Queen Brahme with Steiner or you'll miss the stone forever.
II
The second moonstone is the easiest to obtain, and you'll read about this in every walkthrough. You are in Conde Petie, and through the mountain path you'll obtain four stones by examining statues: red stone, blue stone, yellow stone, green stone.

You can't miss them (yeah, you can miss them if you don't read a walkthrough and simply cross the mountain path..), 'cos they're all in the same area and you are only required to take them off from the statues. When you have the four of them, you just need to put them all in the last statue (to the right of the moogle called Suzuna, the one with Stiltzkin) to automatically obtain the moonstone.
III
The third moonstone is, like the first one, definitely missable 'cos you'll get it only at the end of Stiltzkin's sidequest. By the way, if you're cheating as I was saying in the introduction, Stiltzkin won't sell you anything 'cos of your full inventory! And if in any case you have, say, 99 tents you'll need to sell at least one of them - otherwise the moogle won't give you the package.

The Stiltzkin sidequest basically consists of buying EIGHT (and not missing one!) consecutive times from this golden moogle the items he sells you, as a whole, for fixed amounts of gil. Keep into account that he will always be near (i.e.: in the same screen) of a "save moogle". You'll find him here:

1- You'll see him in Burmecia, before fighting Beatrix; for 333 gil he'll sell you hi-potion, ether and soft. You'll trigger his appearance near the save moogle Atla by opening the Lighning Staff in the back of the save room.

2- In Cleyra, near Mopli save moogle and after the Antlion fight. 444 gil here.

3- In Fossil Roo, at the only time where you can (randomly mining) get the One Ring achievement. He's near Mogki, after escaping Armodullahan; 555 gil.

4- In Condie Petit, near Suzuna, right where you are instantly obtaining the other moonstone. 666 gil.

5- In Alexandria, during the only time you can get the Tack Star hippaul achievement. You are controlling Vivi, after the Mistodon fight which used to close disc 2. 777 gil, he's near the Kupo save moogle.

6- Upon entering Oilvert, near Mooel, 888 gil. Keep in mind that, if in Lindblum some minutes before you sold out everything in order to get the No Free Lunch Active Time Event (and the subsequent Give Me My Money ATE) you'll have 0 gil, and you need 888 for Stiltzkin! Get them in the world map, before or after going into the cemetery of the Black Mage Village!

7- In Bran Bal, in the storage room - you need to talk to Mozne, the save moogle, then exit and reenter to get Stiltzkin appear. 2222 gil for his pack.

8- Last time, where you'll also get the "Driving the Hard Bargain" achievement, for 5555 gil he'll sell you the third moonstone. He's in Alexandria, revisiting the area just before the Memoria dungeon, or after but without entering the last areas. He will be in the Alexandria church, by the west docks where you started the game. By talking to him again, he'll give you for free a ribbon too.
IV
The fourth moonstone is obtained via the Friendly Monsters sidequest, but you don't need to complete it - you only need the first 6 monsters out of 9. The best time to get this trophy is towards the end of the game, you can skip all the friendly encounters 'cos they're chained and one encounter will trigger the other one (the monsters themselves will say this every time). It's better to do it with the airship, in order to reach every location swiftly.. so, near endgame is a good time.

You will ONLY need 9 Ore. And finally, always check by opening the menu the area you're in, you need the precise name to encounter the monsters; plus, also check the area - some of the friendly monsters appear in the forests, others in the plains. The battle music will change, and you'll get to them after 3-4 normal monster encounters on the world map in every point. They're not rare encounters at all.

1- Mu, in Nolrich Heights, near the Ice Cavern and Dali in the plains; he'll request 1 ore
2- Ghost, in Bentini Heights, the plaints outside Treno, 1 ore
3- Ladybug, in the Magdalene Forest that encompasses the Black Mage Village, 2 ores
4- Yeti (which doesn't look like a Yeti and isn't found in the snow), between plains and desert (it's the same) in the Daines Horse Basin, around Cleyra, 2 ores
5- Nymph, in the FOREST of the Pualei Plains, at the base of Iifa Tree, 3 ores and it'll give you an emerald
6- Jabberwock, finally, he'll ask for an emerald and will give you the last moonstone, triggering the achievement. He's also found in the forests near Oilvert, in the east, where you'll read "Seaways Canyon" on the menu.

Thanks for reading and good luck!!
