Other methods that can solve the start intro issue, is by adding -nointro to launch options by right clicking the game in the library and going to properties.

If you have any other issues such as setting the options and can't load up the game, all you need to do is make sure that the following in the swat.cfg is correct shown below.

A fix you can also try is the windows feature called directplay.

1.First fix to try do is by going into your Programs and features in control panel in windows, and then to click Turn windows features on or off, then in the list, you need to find legacy features or legacy components and then enable Directplay feature, then click OK.
