Ohhh .. that brings some good memories from last week's game :P
-Yeah, I was only succesful at pulling it off 1/3 of the time.
-It's actually really easy to do.
Also, I noticed that the entire floor is portalable. Wouldn't that open some room for cheating (e.g. portaling through laser fields, skipping the entire room...)?
- This is impossible, you need one cube on each button of your base to get a point.
- This is possible but hard and a bit random (bouncing correctly on franken cube is hard), so I don't consider it as a big problem.
- This is maybe possible, and if you are able to do it, just do it :p
-What's preventing the player from putting the cube in their own cube button (apart from good sportsmanship)?
-The player with the blue franken cube has an advantage. They could put the franken cube next to a laser field, jump onto the franken cube in order to cross the field, and then grab the cube from the other side. Though this would only work with the vertical ones.
-You could probably get the franken cube past the fizzlers if you held it upwards and jumped while walking through. If that's not enough, you could let go of the cube in mid-air to get it a little higher.
Haven't tested any of this yet, but I don't see what's stopping the player from doing this.
This SHOULD break Source's hard-coded limit.
But it doesn't.
Nice job, can't wait to play it as soon as I have a partner. It looks fantastic.
