Yeah there's no shame in that, but I wasn't really meaning you needed to make your own models, although that would be nice. But you can just use models that exist on the workshop, or just the ones available in css or hl2.

@Dirty Lemon: What you're saying is entirely true. While I love mapping I never got comfortable with modelling tools like blender and never learned to make my own models, let alone my own textures and materials. Hence I often resolved to making what I needed with brushes.

The only thing this map is lacking is use of models. You use brushes quite generously in places where a model would be better suited. Also for broken walls I think it'd be better to use displacements, you can make a broken wall look much more natural if you use displacements instead of simply carving out pieces of a brush. Other than that though, your brush work is very impressive. I like the attention to detail on the buildings.
