Do You Really need this on the devastation hub?
The Cybertron Games need some love too...
I'm not sure how I'd rate MP Soundwave numerically, but the general consensus among collectors is that he's one of the best out of the Masterpiece line. He is, after all, probably the 3rd most important Decepticon character from G1. Having the cassette minions do make him a set without himself even if you don't collect other MP Transformers. I do recommend him if you collect MP TF or are just a fan of G1 Soundwave.
If you go for the Hasbro version's (which has all the cassettes except for Ratbat) Asia reissue, it's pretty easy to mod the eyes to cartoon red:
