Skull Cavern Level 1,000+ Guide | 20,000+ Iridium Per Day | NO MODS
由 Tacet the Terror 制作
This guide shows the basic strategy I have created to venture into Skull Cavern infinitely. For under 2M gold, level 1,000+ in Skull Cavern can be reached with over 20,000+ Iridium per attempt.

Basic Strategy
To get far in Skull Cavern, you will need to utilize two glitches that currently exist in the game:
  • Bomb Eating
  • Infinite Awake Glitch

To execute bomb eating, place a desired number of Meba Bombs. Before any of them explode, eat any food item. This freezes the in game timer, but does not freeze the bomb timers. Your character is invulnerable during the eating cutscene, so rocks and enemies around will be exploded and damaged, but your character will take 0 damage.

To execute infinite awake glitch you MUST have at least 1 task in your journal. This glitch WILL NOT work unless you have an incomplete journal task. You can obtain this from the bulletin board in front of Pierre's Shop, or simply hold on to a task that never expires.

Infinite awake glitch is done by CLICKING the journal with your mouse key whenever your character tries to sleep. It is important that you click it manually due to the hotkey of F not working. Simply repeat this every 10 in game minutes when your character tries to go back to sleep. To save time, click Esc after clicking on the journal to instantly leave it.
Floors 1-100
Simply use 100 ladders. Don't waste any time with the scraps on these levels as they will just block your inventory.
Floors 101-500
Continue to spam ladders. Keep an eye out for good Meba Bomb locations of a lot of rocks that may drop a pitfall. Inventory scraps will likely need to be trashed due to the number of low profit resources obtained at these levels. These levels should have a large focus on pitfalls.
Floors 500-999 (All Floors 500+ Strategy)
Around this time you will likely be reaching the first 2 am. Simply start clicking the journal every time your character tries to sleep and you can go on as long as you wish. These floors start to shift from a focus of pitfalls to a full focus on iridium rocks. Pretty much every floor from 500 onwards appears to have a similar number of iridium rocks, so bomb everywhere that 10+ iridium rocks appear.

To counter the dragon eel things, simply place 3 mega bombs then eat. 3 mega bombs are enough damage to kill all the eels around your character.

There are several types of floors that you may need to skip with ladder:
  • Long Looping Floors
  • Floors With NO Iridium
  • Some Mine Cart Floors
  • Some Mummy Floors
  • Excesively Blocked Path Floors
Floors 1,000+
You did it! You have made it to the 4 digit floors! Congrats!

If you did this run with the exact resources mentioned in this guide, you are likely getting low on resources. You can of course bring things in place of so much stone such as more mega bombs, more food, or whatever else you think you may need.

If you wish to go infinitely into the depths, an optimal deep run of Skull Cavern would likely bring the following supplies:
  • Iridium Pickaxe
  • Galaxy Sword
  • 24 Stacks of 999 Mega Bombs
  • 10 Stacks of 999 of Any Decent Food

While this guide is only made to go to Floor 1,000, the above supplies could go to 10,000; 100,000; or even 1,000,000 Floors if you had the time to actually venture that deep.
Thank You!
Thanks so much for making it through this guide. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to leave them here or on the video.

They patched out the Bomb Eating glitch. Use the normal Bomb items (600G from the Dwarf) instead, as it is hard to outrun a Mega Bomb explosion radius

Why does this exist? I admire the dedication, and I might use the tactic to get past level 40, but why is this a thing? Maybe it's because I haven't hit that level of profit where you get completely bored yet.

I've spent 14 hours grinding for that delicious iridium ore now, and I've spent way less time too, for the preparation. I HATE buying so much stone for every time I'm going to the desert.

I originally bought 999 Bombs and 500 Mega Bombs, 550 salads, and I brough the Galaxy sword and the Iridium pickaxe. I also brought some spare bombs (200 bombs, 100 mega) which has helped me a lot. While I'm writing this, I've almost run out of normal bombs, still got around 300 mega bombs left. I'm luckily at the end too. Currently at floor 1200+ and I imagine I'll get much deeper before I've filled the last 3 slots with iridium ore.

I also have two slots for other things, such as Prismatic shard (half a stack (500) is worth like a million, you should keep those) and coal. I don't have much coal so I thought that this was a good opportunity to farm for that as well.

How do I get ladders?
irondragoon2007 2017 年 3 月 11 日 下午 2:29
So I discovered that if you start any processes like smelting ore during that null time before you go back into your home to sleep the game will consumer deposited items and then run like it is actually doing it. I started a batch of iridium during the null time and after a couple of in game days it never finished. Normally when you strike machines that are running or "full/in use" it won't be destroyable and can be picked up. I struck my furnaces and they all colapsed. If someone else wanted to confirm that would be nice.

Also discovered if you get KO'ed you will end back in town with the null time still running and needing to keep clicking the journal to keep from passing out. You still suffer all the effects from this as well.

I went in with 200 salmonberries, 3 stacks of 999 rocks, 40 bombs and 26 mega bombs. Reached level 260. An iridium pickaxe and galaxy sword helped. I teleported back home and went to bed after I ran out of bombs. The day only turns when I sleep.

Total cost: ~100,000 gold

There goes the money I've been saving up for the cellar but who needs a cellar anyways? I got 1000+ iridium ores and 20 prismatic shards, let the diamond farming commence :steamhappy:

took 999 bombs (not super bombs) 7 or so stacks of stone whatever I had in my chests Had plenty of stone, took a sword and a pick and 600 sashimi. took some other food. coffee mainly but apparently bonuses don't work after 2:AM so screw that.

ended up with 18000 iridium 200 some odd prismatic shards. could have gone further in But 18000 iridium is enough for me thanks. for the initial 600,000 investment. I also pulled in several hundred iron, copper and gold ore.

If I was to do this again, I'd do it on a day of thunderstorms to collect more battery packs. since our goal is to fill barns with crystallariums.

from a money perspective the glitch is being underused. the bit where it makes honey produce every 10 minutes done in fall with some flowers up that stuff sells for 680+40% so about 1000 per honey with artisan. have an array of however many you can reach in 10 minutes. and get 1000 gold as fast as you can walk and click.
