First time I launched Marlow Briggs the frame rate was just horrible, although my system surpasses the game's requirements by far. The problem was, that the game used the integrated graphics card by default. So in my case the solution was to change the settings for this game in the NVIDIA Control panel.

Step by step: Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > NVIDIA Control panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings

Then you must click "Add" and select the launcher file for Marlow Briggs from your steam games directory

The default location would be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\marlow briggs\kick_win.exe
for 64bit Windows systems.
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\marlow briggs\kick_win.exe
for 32bit Windows systems.

Under the "Select preferred graphics processor for this program:"
choose "High-Performance NVIDIA processor" from the drop down list.

Apply the changes and the game will run just fine.
