Theory: Perhaps this bloke is a Master Ammo Smith and the skill teaches you how to custom jury rig ordinary Rounds into makeshift High Velocity Rounds? :)
Thank you so much for this Guide! This will help me figure out how to play it after learning of this game's existence from YouTuber "NintendoComplete" and their Vid on this game and me determining it's a rad lookin game then lucking into reading a Comment on that Vid clueing me into Steam having this game and me nabbing it! :D
Also some missing/wrong info from the guide itself:
-Zombie dogs take 3 bullets to kill, not listed
-Sup-R-Last Batteries not listed in Front section for car upgrades
-Shotgun uses 3 bullets per shot, not 4
3/3, stupid 1000 character limit on comments
Don't trade for food/scrap unless your life depends on it. Food is plentiful to scavenge on any difficulty other than suicide and even then you're usually guaranteed to get some food most of the time when you scavenge, while scrap is usually never offered in large enough quantity to be useful.
Only use medkits on the driver, unless you really want to save someone that's incapacitated.

Never use the pistol. There's basically no situation where it's better than the rifle. If you are confident in your aim then the rifle's reload shouldn't be an issue. The shotgun is very situational, nice for bandit/defense jobs or if you're swimming in ammo (500+), but as I said previously, if your aim is good then you shouldn't need it. If you get the faster reload and faster bullets perks then the rifle is always the best option.
Speaking of bandit jobs, don't do them unless the reward is very good (like a couple car parts or a decent amount of fuel), as otherwise it's usually a waste of ammo along with the potential risk of taking damage. Most other jobs aren't too bad though but always consider whether the reward is worth the potential risk.
