When I attempted it at the spot you listed, it seemed to not like the Ceiling angle, but I got it somehow.

The "Gravity Rush" was obtain in Chapter 8.

Can you link to the point of the video in chapter 6 for gravity rush? - I finally got it from the top of the air temple (tried to do up and down off high ceiling to no success).

With Shinen, it doesn't seem to work if you stick it on someone's back. I tried that and killed 4 at once, no achievement.

For "own medicine", I found that slightly easier to do if you blind the guard, then lead the fireball to him.
