This is a short basic guide I came up with to help new players through ‘Feel the Snow’. This is only what I’ve personally learned from playing the game so far. There’re probably better alternatives. Just trying to be helpful.

I'm just a player of this game. This is my first time making a guide on steam so I hope this helps some folks.

The Basics things to know:
1. first thing you should know: Is that everything that you can craft in this game requires skill notes. You can get them from killing enemies or breaking containers. (such as boxes or pots. ) Make sure to pick them up and right-click them in your inventory to add them to your skills menu.

2. It's dangerous to be outside after dark if you don’t have a weapon. Until you have a house of your own, you can hide in the old man’s house until morning. Don't worry if you die, you'll end up spawning back at his house anyway. You don't lose any items in your inventory when you die. So, don't sweat it.

3. Starvation and health loss are a big thing to keep an eye on in this game. For your hunger bar, you should try picking up green/blue herbs as you walk along. They only give you +5 hunger for each one you eat, but you can worry about cooking better meals later.

4. As for your health, you want to get the ‘flask’ skill note as soon as possible. Once you have the Flask skill you should soon pick up the HP potion skill. This is the best way I’ve found to bring your health bar back up so far.

5.When it comes to defending yourself......Sadly, No. You can't fight with the axe. You can only attack with a stick until you can craft yourself a sword or a bow. The bow requires you make or find arrows though. so be mindful of that.

6.BEWARE OF DARKZONES. Nightmares can spawn here anytime of the day and are much stronger then the little ones you see at night.

House to build a house:
You cannot make a house inside the fenced in settlement. You must make it outside the fence line. Once you've found a place to settle in, clear out all the rocks and trees so you have clear space to place wood floors down. You going to want to move a good distance away from the settlement fence line. If you’re to close, it’ll give you the message ‘you cannot build in the settlement’ on the side of your build that faces the settlement.


• To make wood floors, walls, doors, and roof tops you must first have the skill notes for it. You can acquire skill notes by killing enemies, breaking pot, or breaking boxes.

• Once you have those skills, you'll need to gather some logs. This can be done with an axe. Just know that 2 logs = 1 wood floor. The same goes for making walls, doors, and roof tops.

• To turn your object to see different views, scroll with your mouse wheel.

• If you want to remove floor or roof top pieces, use the saw tool.

• If you want to remove walls, windows, doors, and all other furniture pieces in your house, use the hammer tool.

As you level up in this game you will be able to acquire skills that you can use. There are three classes so far. Mage, Archer, and Warrior. You can build on any of the skill trees at any time.

•First click the + symbol on the far right of the screen
•Select your skill of choice.
•Drag and drop the skill in one of the slot blow.
•Press the number to use it.

To regain your mana you can eat blue roses or drink a mana potion.

To refuel the lamp you need:
•Mucus in your inventory.
•Move the stack of mucus over the lamp.
•Then left click it.

Certain enemies drop wool when killed.


Giants Snow Golems: That you usually see near the town.
Wolves: These are near the caves.

These two do alot of damage, it recommends that you stock up on supplies and gear before facing them.

How to fish:

To start fishing, you first need a fishing rod and an Ice drill. Remember, you must have the skill notes to craft these items. Once you have both items, head over to any frozen river in the area.

• Use the Ice drill to make a small hole in the ice.
• Then use your fishing rod to start fishing

Once you see the blue circle appear: press the 'E' button. This will put a fish on the line! Make sure you ready to reel it in.

• To reel in your fish, hold down the 'E' button.
• Make sure to let go before it reaches the end of the red zone.
• You want to get the line as close to the end of the red zone as you can, without letting it reaching the end.
• Let the line fall back about half way into the green zone, then immediately pull it all the way back into the red zone.
• After repeating these actions a few times, you should have your fish!


If you don't get it the first time don't sweat it. Once you've learned how it’s done, it easy.
