The mod(s) you need
How to use the mods
DEPRECATED (you can follow this steps if you don't use Fine Road Anarchy)

The first mod you need is NoPillars. This mod will let you build ouside the given area (64x64cells).

  • Selecting No Collision (+No Zoning)

With this option enabled you can build roads with no elevation outside the grid as shown in the images above. But if you enable the NoPillars option you can build elevated roads outside the box, but with the disadvantage that you won't be able to see ... the pillars.

Here is when you need Advanced Road Anarchy:

As you can see with this mod activated you can build elevated roads outside the grid and the pillars will remain visible.

Note: to avoid camera restrictions in the asset editor, type in launch options --enable-dev-ui
Once you load the asset editor press the tab key and check Unlimited Camera.

Thanks and happy building !!!

With the current versions of these mods, what is the method to see the pillars outside the area? Do I need to toggle on NoCollision + NoZoning? If I am building a grid not just an intersection, then what? I am just trying to get my bearings, thanks for any help. Cheers.

Yes you can. Use Fine Road Anarchy and press the "disable grid" icon.

But you can't load/edit intersections that go beyond the limits, like Lindblum Airport ?
