I went a step further. I've uninstalled the game, and I'm reinstalling it.

sounds like it's ok...my advice here VERIFY GAME CACHE after that try re-launch from library !

That's what I did, but Steam says "Missing application executable", then redownloads it, then launches it again.

what you're doing with my instructions is renaming .exe & PLACING shortcut on desktop-CLICKING ON THAT SHORTCUT=>to play

the game doesnt even crash, i just get the error, the steam servers are too busy
