Predator Style is a new feature introduced in God Eater Resurrection.

The standard Control Unit feature has been completely removed which is why it is different with the God Eater 2 Rage Burst. In its place, new devour options have been added. Players can now use 5 different devour which is:

• Charge
  
• Combo
  
• Quick
  
• Step
  
• Air

Individual Control Units can be equipped to each of these devour options, each carrying abilities covering various functionality.

Examples of these ability types include:

• Attack, containing abilities such as those that boost attack power or bullet effectiveness.
  
• Guard, containing abilities such as those that boost defensive power or element resistance.
  
• Assist, containing abilities such as those that boost Oracle intake or charge speed.
  
• Compound, containing abilities such as those that boost attack power but decreases defence.
  
• Special, containing abilities such as those that boost allies' stats.

These abilities can be activated for the duration of the current Burst gauge (either gained through devouring or by devouring during an already-active burst) by executing the corresponding devour option. Executing a Charge devour, for example, will activate the ability tied to the Charge devour option.

Which abilities are currently active are denoted by colored bars above the player's Burst gauge:red for Charge, white for Quick, yellow for Combo, green for Step, and blue for Air.

However, some abilities are one-time use only (such as those that strengthen the next attack used or provide one-time damage protection) and must be reapplied in order to earn their benefits once again.

Predator Styles are unlocked as you progress through the story. Some were unlocked through playing certain mission or doing certain feats.

Type One
The First Predator Style that can be used. Players start having Type one on default Charge Devour











The Dragon
A devour that uses three sets of jaws to devour over a wide area.











Butchery
A Charge devour that fires off the acquired Aragami Bullet immediately after devouring. Control Units activate before the bullet is fired.











Divine Relish
A Charge devour in the shape of a massive wold head. Has an immense charge time but grants an immediate level 3 burst.











Orca
Designates Oracle to release a healing cloud, healing others when they're near the clouds. The healing effect does not heal the user.










Bändiger
A Devour that surges forward a large distance once the charge is released and can devour most aragami without fear of suffering from their attacks. Grants the user superarmor once activated, therefore the charge cannot be interrupted by being knocked back or being hit.










Kagachi
Another version of the Dragon that enables devouring over a wide area. Lengthens the charge to increase Burst Gauge gain.











Type One Fuchsia - Azure - Gilt - Azalea
A Modified version of Type One that adds specific elements to ally attacks. Overrides other effects of this types

• Type One Fuchsia (Blaze) - in the mission the Lion and the Peonies you start with a lv3 Burst, you need to keep it active for the entire duration of the mission to unlock it
  
• Type One Azure (Freeze) - in the mission Snowdrop, you need to get an SSS or a SSS+ rank
  
• Type One Gilt (Spark) - in the mission Disjunction, finish the mission with max endurance.
  
• Type One Azalea (Divine)- you need to do Spider Lily without using items. It is adviced to go alone on the mission cause the AI tends to use items like stun grenades or healing items.

Golden Relish
A modified version of Devine Relish that grants allies Level 3 Burst at the cost of all your Stamina

Type Two
One of the earliest Predator Styles. It is Identical to Type One but much more faster and gives less Burst Gauge and Aragami Bullet, Unlocked by Default for Quick Devour.












Sechshorn
Expels a portion of oracle cells devoured to propel the user backwards for a safer Burst technique.











Sturm
Expels Oracle Cells to dash forwards while devouring, before stopping and goin into Burst mode on contact. Cost a small amount of stamina to use.











Steelfang
Slashes in a wide circle with the devour form after a brief delay











Sharktooth
Devours while sliding forward, passing through the enemy, and Burst mode at the end.











Mistral
An instantaneous devour possessing minimal post-devour delay, allowing the devour to be linked with a combo,step or guard immediately.











Hell's Claw
Leap skyward over the target, devouring while in the air.











Möbius
A weak slashing devour that refills a small amount of burst gauge yet can be chained infinitely on hit










Hawk's Flight
Slashes Forward and Upward with the devour, passing through the target.











Guzzle
A combination of Sechshorn and Sturm. Uses Stamina to dash into a devour, then initiates Burst while retreating a short distance










Downburst
Devours while leaping verticcally skyward, inducing Burst in mid-air. This is a modified version of Hawk's Flight that slashes directly upwards, instead of up and forwards. Costs a small amount of stamina to use











Dionaea
A counterattacking devour that deals greater damage when you devour the instant an Aragamis attack would hit you, in addition to granting invulnerability during the devour animation. Control Units only activate if the counter is successful. If the counter is unsuccessful, you are penalized with no Aragami bullets, no Control Unit activation, and vastly decreased Burst gauge.











Silverclaw
A modified version of Hell's Claw that grants 3 aragami bullets

Raven
The first Air devour that can be used. Perform a devour in midair, entering Burst mode while airborne. Allows standard follow-up attacks











Driving Jaw
Glide forward while devouring, entering Burst mode upn landing if an enemy is struck. It is almost the same with Short Blade and Charge Spear's air attack. Covers a large range and pierces through the target aragami.











Punisher
Charges briefly before devouring straight downwards, Rebound back up on contact with fore, allowing for true infinite aerial combo.











Geist
An aerial version of Sechshorn. Devours directly from an aerial position. Induces Burst while retreating in mid-air.











Flying Swallow
An Aerial version of Sharktooth. Devour while darting directly forward in an aerial attack. Costs a small amount of stamina to use.











Mist Vane
Devours downward from mid-air and over a wide area, devouring around the player and maintaining altitude. Induces Burst while mid air and can be connected with standard follow-up attacks.











Cornix
A modified version of Raven that regains large amounts of OP, with more OP gained the higher up you are. OP is regained immediately upon hit.
