Edited Ragdoll Physics and Effects Redux

It is our pleasure to finally release this, we struggled with the original mod for a long time and we have come to the hard decision of abandoning the original in favor of a redux.

Now as to what this mod actually does: This mod heavily edits just about all ragdolls in the game, giving them new, collisions, joint constraints and bug fixes.

This mod also just adds a bit more flare and satisfaction to death animations and particles to increase variance.

We only support a few modded units, how ever we support all vanilla units and here is a list if you wish to see an organized view of everything. If you notice that a certain unit you enjoy is ommited, feel free to make a request, there are no promises, but we will see.

-Sectopod (Fully fixed featuring prismatic joints)

The Gatekeeper and the Sectopod Ragdolls are completely added from this mod, previously they poofed out of existance.

Compatability-

Replaces the archetypes for XCOM soldiers and all the base game enemies.

If there are incompatibilities they shouldn't be gamebreaking, the units will simply use the archetype that has overridden our one.

Additional Notes-

Also credit to xylthixlm on the discord channel for helping with getting this mod onto the workshop and pointing out that if the ModPreview isn't a jpeg the mod won't publish.

This mod has been a huge pain but we are very happy with the results, and we hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do.

*UPDATE LOG*

7/6/16~6/7/16 - Update for general compatibility, thanks to Grimy on the Discord channel for bringing this better way of overriding the archetypes to my attention and Eladdv for getting it to work for me.

- Mod now works in multiplayer, but both players must have it active for it to work. When playing modded multiplayer, both players must have the exact same mods active, launch options and config files.

-Added edited Sectoid physics.

8/6/16~6/8/16 - Added edited Muton physics.



10/6/16~6/10/16 - Added edited Chryssalid physics.

-Smoke that is emitted from the Sectopod now comes from the ragdoll itself as oppose to the tile it dies on, and Gatekeepers now use the pink faceless gooey blood. Courtesy of Vortex-Pixalation.

-Compatability patch for Maluco Marinero's Guerilla War mod, all ADVENT units now have 'carried body' animations determined and so will no longer go into a 'T' pose when picked up.


11/6/16~6/11/16 - Added edited physics to Long War Studios' Muton Centurion.


12/6/16~6/12/16 - Miscellaneous tweaks to the human ragdolls.

- All ADVENT units now have their own individual phys asset which has collision boxes that match the shapes of their armour. Officers, Troopers, Stun Lancers, Shieldbearers and Psi Witches(Avatars) are all effected.

13/6/16~6/13/16 - Some small tweaks to the human ragdoll collision boxes, human thighs now more flexible.

15/6/16~6/15/16 - Gave each ADVENT unit gender their own phys asset, so the collision boxes match their proportions.

-Added edited Archon ragdoll physics.

20/6/16~6/20/16 - Fixed issue of linking Psi Witches (Avatars) to the wrong archetype, resulting in them having no archetype and not appearing at all.

30/6/16~6/30/16 - Added edited MEC ragdoll, added edited Faceless ragdoll and restored a MEC dying animation where it staggers forward.

-MEC's and mutons (Including the Centurion) can now move bodies around.

--------------------------MISSING LOGS----------------------------------------
Due to some clumsiness the last two or so update logs after 30/6/16 are lost for all eternity.

15/7/16~7/15/16 - Made MEC's ragdolls stiffer and gave them a collision box where their launcher should be.

19/7/16~7/19/16 - Removed a collision box from the Stun Lancers' backs that was causing awkward poses.

20/7/16~7/20/16 - The Sectopod's Turret now explodes into a conglomerate of shards and debris, adding a little more flare to the sectopod's death.

17/9/16~9/17/16 - Fixed MECs not actually using the edited physics

-Added MEC death animation smoke particles

-Added edited Viper ragdoll physics

-Added edited Berserker ragdoll physics

-Added edited Andromedon ragdoll physics

-Completely redid the Sectopod's Ragdoll, it now gibs in a elaborate fashion, its legs fall off, its heatsinks break off, and the legs now do not glitch out during standing death animations, this was obtained by enabling prismatic joints on the legs allowing them to extend

-Completely redid the Sectopod's Particle effects upon death as well to give it some flare

-Added edited Muton Elite ragdoll physics

-Added edited Sectoid Commander ragdoll physics

-Fixed Muton Centurion not using proper physics

18/5/17~5/18/17

-Completely reorganized the mod's internal files and code, this should have no effect on gameplay, however it will be easier to work with, resulting in faster updates

-Redid Mec death animations and particle effects, it now looks far better and should be more interesting

-Overhauled the Archon, it now gibs and it more flexible

-Completely reworked the Sectopod's Particle effects yet again, this should be far more impressive, and less mediocre looking

-Gatekeeper effects have been modifed

-All units using the human death animations (Xcom and Advent) have been redone, we really want feedback on this one :)

-Modifed the Advent Captain's cape to be more flowy

-Fixed an issue with the Berserkers

-Fixed an issue with Human Psi Zombies

22/5/17~5/22/17

-Faceless Death animations overhauled, as a bonus, they have another taunt animation that was unused

-Zombies should fly back less now, still unsure if the fix worked, it seems inconsistent


As of now the mod is crash free, the WOTC bug fix was ported

Does this go with restored ragdoll collision and ragdoll FX or is this a standalone and dosent need either?

btw this mod crashes wotc on start up so i had to uninstall it

I mean that definitely isn't a mod issue, it kinda sounds like steam messing up, I really don't know how to fix that
