How to fix
This guide is made to fix any problems you have with the game.

Firstly you should have all the latest updates on your OS, then after you should have the latest version of the game installed.

If you are needing any patches, here is a location I made for you to download the latest patch: Download[drive.google.com]

The patches above should maybe help, but if they didn't, then you will need to run the game in maybe compatible mode via going to the main game directory, and finding the Exe file, then right click and go to properties, once you are on that, go to the compatibility tab, and make sure it's set to windows 7 or lower such as windows vista.

Enabling Directplay

1. Installing DirectPlay
To enable DirectPlay, first press the Win key + R keyboard shortcut to open Run.
Then enter ‘Control Panel‘ in Run, and click the OK button.
Click Turn Windows features on or off to open the window shown directly below.


Below are the requirements needed.
System Requirements
OS: Windows® XP/Vista/7
Processor: 2.0GHz CPU
Memory: 1GB
Hard Disk Space: 2GB
Video Card: Graphics card supporting shader 3.0 (onboard chipsets are not supported)
DirectX®: 9.0c
Sound: Sound card with DirectX 9.0c support

Holy crap! you actually responded im suprised , my os is windows 10 idk if this is a os.. but im not a really computer tech kind of guy im the type thats really good with the keyboard and thats kind of stuff so i dont really know!

Hey! i know this is a old thread but i thought i would try and ask a question, my inventory menu is invisible all you can see is the text , any fix? and my second problem is sometimes it lets me select multiple enemies to focus on killing and sometimes it doesn't , is this something only for me or have other people had these problems? i know its a low chance anyone responds but im desperate... lol.

hmm, another thing is what i have forgot to update this guide is enabling direct play mode through legacy control panel, located here https://windowsreport.com/enable-directplay-windows-10/

... and I also reinstalled the game, I restarted the computer, I checked sound settings (all other games work fine), I went to local files -> TrappedDead.exe -> properties and set compatibility mode to Windows 7... nothing helped. Still no sound.
