The following will explain how we can get into orbit around anything and allow a space craft to have non-stop thrust. We can do this by using Ion Engines.

Ion engines are the most effeciant way to get around the Smolar System in SR. They are electrically powered propullsion systems. Ion Engines have very low thrust, meaning they aren't effective on most planets.

The 2 crucial things to using Ion engines are using conventional rockets to escape the planet's atmosphere and having enough solar panels to fly high. Your rocket should look something like this:rockets to get out of the atmosphere, decouplers to seperate the rockets, fuel slauges and [structure metal bar thingies] to hold solar pannels, solar pannels that DONT collide on extention, a battery or two, and ion engines on one of the four sides of the space ship. (Struts are those metal bar thingies!)

Every Ion Engine takes 2 Solar Pannels to work at 100%. (1:2)
If you cannot manage to stick all 8 solar pannels on your 4 ion engine ship, then you won't be able to thrust at 100%. This shouldn't be too much of a problem if you don't have a ♥♥♥♥ load of Ion Engines. You'll want to thrust the engines at a % in which the battery level doesn't go down. (Did I mention you need a battery, eh, I'll fix that later.) The battery monitor is that white bar next to the fuel bars.

The very basic way to pilot an Ion Engine ship is to launch the conventional rockets, use those rockets up while constantyly going away from the planet you're escaping, (dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about my spelling or grammar), you should be dropping off the empty rockets and fuel cans with decouplers, you activate the solar panels and ion engines, then once you escape the gravity influence of that planet, or get into orbit around that planet, you then examine the orbital path of the target planet/moon. Then you launch towards the target planet/moon. Once you get closer make sure to slow way down. Make sure to keep the path of the ship on the planet, this is actually farely easy. Just keep the rocket in a collision course. Once you get to the planet get out of that collision corse. You should be way slowed down by now, you're going to need to blast into orbit now. You're going to do this by flying by the planet, then thrusting way down into a fly by into the other direction. Keep doing this untill you're in orbit.
