Black Screen freeze fix - fast and easy without installing mods

Hey here is a very quick fix how to solve the startup black screen fix for Jagged Alliance 2 and Jagged Alliance 2 Gold Pack.

your game files will be found in the directory

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Jagged Alliance 2

The important intro.slf file will be found at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Jagged Alliance 2\DATA

Just download the rar file http://ul.to/puz8rb3t and extract it to the DATA folder in your game directory. If you selected the correct folder WinRar will ask you to overwrite the existing file. Confirm to overwrite intro.slf and thats it. Just go back to your library and run the game.

I'm encountering an issue where renaming intro.slf does not resolve the problem. I've spent significant time researching fixes online without success.

I'm running the game on Linux via Proton, which is puzzling because ProtonDB lists it as Platinum. Has anyone else encountered this specific issue on Linux? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
