I have also had germany loose the war without japanese involvment result in the mengoku becoming the leasers of the axis.

The game requires at least 7 majors. However, any minor with at least 70% of the factories of the lowest default major is also considered a major. If a major suddenly capitulates, the minor with the highest factories takes its place. Why the Raj or Canada will suddenly be considered a major once Britain and France fall. Also, national unity takes place here as well. You need to invade Britain early on before they increase their national unity, as a higher percentage of that determines how many victory points the nation can lose before it surrenders. Mid to late game Britain has an incredible national unity, and that allows the colonies to continue fighting despite the homeland having fallen.

mmmm pretty sad just shows how broken hoi4 is in some aspects. hopefully can be fixed with paradoxs updates but the whole point of britans island is *the island advantage ............... :/ but if it works it works so i guess use it while you can

@shde2e Nope. I've had the British Raj, South Africa, Australia, and even bloody New Zealand become majors.

isnt Canada the only major? So the rest should give up once they surrender.

@Warhydra Yep...Same thing has happened in several of my games...were after Britain falls, the Raj has to..then Canada...then Australia...then the USA joins and I ragequit :(
