Yes you can! However beware it will grow back unless you jettison all of it! And if too many doors get stuck you wont be able to jettison all the rooms.

And finally, beware that sometimes slime will cover the airlock itself, and you wont be able to return your drones the way you arrived. This is waht my gif is about. quite often I would go into a derelict spacecraft, not finding much, but on returning to the airlock my drones would accidentally drive into slime right outside the airlock. When you least expect it, slime is surrounding your drones. Hence "it's a trap".

Yeah, I've jetisoned some slime before but when it's already spread too far you might as well just leave.
