Make it bigger #1
As has been pointed out, there are different types of brushes in Dogwaffle and they have the options their supposed to have. Of course, if you're reading this guide, you want them bigger. Not all of them bigger, but the ones that aren't supposed to be bigger.

It's a simple process.

You click on the brush.
The context menu changes.
You click on the Shapes... and all these cool brush shapes are available. You click on the Sets and find that even more cool brush shapes are available. The only problem is, these are the small brushes. Well, forget your woes. Just pick one.
Click your blank layer one time to set it
Then go to the Selection menu and pick Select by and then Color Key... from the submenu that pops up.
Then either press the straight line key as a keyboard shortcut or find invert selection in the menu.
Select use selected as brush in the brush menu(you knew that was coming, right?)
Click store and manage.

But that's only one brush. So click the canvas and press shift+K to clear(klear) the canvas. And do it again. And again. And again. What, you now have four brushes that you really shouldn't have.

Wait, you say, what about the little bits of white background? That's an easy fix. Just click shrink selection and set the number to 1 and click apply before using 'use selected as brush'.

Imagine you're working on something awesome and you saw this brush shape that looked perfect and now you are crying about opaque layers. Come on, wipe those tears away. The 'store image' command IS the opaque layer. So stop crying and store that awesome image you're working on. Now make that brush you just have to have. Clear(klear) that canvas with a capital K and paste that stored image back in front of you. Now you have that awesomeness with that awesome brush shape/asset. Sweet, right?

The developer points out that after steps 1 and 2,
1. select the brush
2. select the shapes on the new context menu

you can right click the brush tool and select internal to custom.

After this though, you still need to select store and manage copy from the brush menu to get the same adjustment options as before

However, you do not need to select shrink selection to remove the white pixels.
