this the first method I ever used. I discovered it accidentally after having my wooden Goliath catch fire while attacking a burning enemy.

It's pretty straightforward:


Just equip a weapon which causes burning damage such as the very common flaming catapult. When the enemy catches fire, get close and behind it. It may take you a few tries, but I've done it a couple times now and it never takes me more than a few minutes.

Also very straightfoward.


Walk outside the base perimeter, and build a remote camp site. Gather some wood, and dump it in the fire. Walk over the fire, and you should catch.

Careful! It's likely that your mech will burn up completely after this if you aren't high leveled or near water.

Easy enough in theory, though it can be a bit random since trees fall so quickly. With flaming limbs equipped there is a chance that trees will catch fire as you run through them or chop them down. If you are under a tree which has caught fire, it is possible that your mech will, too.

This is the least reliable method for me, so I don't recommend it. #1 and #2 are definitely the easy way to get this done!
